How much are these photos, generally? And what's the most you've ever paid our would pay? (and for who?)

As we were in the queue, the security said "No crouching or touching". If we had known before we probably wouldn't of had a picture with him, as it does look awkward.
Some guy in front of us did crouch for his picture, then after he had the photo, Peter went over to the security and whispered something to him , then out the room for 2 mins with the security guard. Then came back

Did the security guard crouch down to hear what he was whispering?

I don't really get the "no touching" thing, unless something bad happened with him before at one of these things. Everyone else seems pretty friendly though (he comes across as awesome in interviews too).

I've just realised that I don't actually know who half the people in these photos are and you could honestly pass them off as people who have paid to have their photos taken with a mafro impersonator.

Brings a whole new dimension to the photos.

God these things are so wonderfully awkward. I don't think I'll ever tire of looking at them.

That much is true.

Most photos range from £15 to £20
The more popular ones like Peter Dinklage and Norman Reedus which will get a gooseberry fool load of people, were £30
Danny Glover & Avery Brooks were £25 (in my opinion are more well know then peter and Norman).
but unpopular guest ones like Honkey Tonk Man or Krisitana Loken or some random person that appeared in Dr Who for a episode are like £5-£15

The bigger the popularity of the guest at the moment, the bigger the price.

At the previous convention earlier in the year, Gillian Anderson was £30 a picture and Jenna-Louise Coleman (the Dr Who Assistant) was £35.
but Malcolm McDowell was £20 for a photo (who in my opinion is a bigger star then Gillian and Jenna-louise)

If there was someone like William Shatner i would play up to £60 for a photo (i'm a big Star Trek fan)

I generally dont bother with autographs unless its someone i really like. They charge the same price as a photo for a autograph

Hope Dinklage charges half.

I'm going to hell, and I don't care.

That's a lot of money to pay for a picture.

Why would anyone pay for a picture?

EDIT: With someone else

I'm a film buff.

Some people like to spend money on a football season ticket, some people spend money on designer clothes, some people spend £40 a 6 hour video game.
Differnt strokes and all that gooseberry fool

I know its not the coolest thing ever, but i enjoy it

How much do you generally spend at a convention thingy?

Also, what was the convention? You hear so much about stuff like comic con and PAX and that that I'd like to check one out at some point. I can almost guarantee that I'd hate it, but I'd like to confirm that for myself.

It depends who is there, at the London one this month i spent £150, at the one in May i spent £30

The one in london was the "London Film & Comic Con"

http://www.londonfilmandcomiccon.com/winter/
The website has been updated for the winter convention

The one earlier in the year i went to was called "Collectamania"

http://www.collectormania.com/miltonkeynes/
both run by the same company
They both run twice a year.
