I would be more inclined to wait for big hands and trap, however if I had position and was feeling sneaky might be tempted to peel flops with hands like Ax suited and broadway cards.

It's difficult really as it depends on if we've got to showdown or seen any hands he's played to try get an idea if he's just playing big cards or any two.

Or can we play back a bit lighter?

If you're ever that uncomfortable, leave the table. He's going to force high variance play regardless of how you respond, so it's best to just avoid him.

Cheers for the tips guys.

Just wondering, are there people here interested in some kind of Session Analysis or Sweat Sessions in the New Year some point? Not sure how many people are playing 6-max cash bar Me and Sykes, but could be a nice little exercise...

I wouldn't mind doing that. Next day I'm working is New Year's Day, then not sure after that so I'd probably be in.

Good stuff. 8-)

Also, with being away from a PC until 2013, it seems my December attempts to do much better at cash (10NL) have turned out quite average. On the upside, I've actually made profit. The downside is that it isn't much as I'd like, which is $16.06. I suppose I shouldn't be too upset as profit is profit, but I want to be doing better than that. That said, I was -$50 down at one point. (although conversely, at one point I was also $60 up) The main thing is that I feel like I've improved a lot now that I'm putting more time into my game and I feel like I'm playing much better postflop, which was my big weakness- although I need a lot of work when I'm OOP. Hopefully January (and all 2013) will see improvement on the whole. I've learnt a lot just by playing more, managed to get in 12k hands this month, with most of them in the past week or two. The hand I won the most money in the month, oddly enough didn't even got to showdown and the hand I lost the most in was that one I vented about in here I got rivered by Queens with my Kings.

Progress. Slow progress, but it'll do. Onto 2013!

I haven't played poker in about twelve days and if I'm honest I'm starting to get the shakes. :dread:

I hadn't played for 36 hours before last night because of other commitments and I was sat at my girlfriends house just dealing cards face up to see what happened. Kings got busted by 3 5 off. She didn't see the excitement of it :(

I haven't played since November. Been busy moving house and had to work a lot over Xmas, but I'm switching back to night shifts soon and so will probably play some poker when I'm up at 2am on my nights off.

Not bad. :D

I'm having a fairly torrid time with cash so far this month. Taking a couple days out to refresh my brain.
