Tried playing more than one table tonight, first time I've given that a go... I bought in with $2.40 onto each table and after an hour or two things looked like this:

Hold'em Manager is also telling me that if I ignore everything I've won/lost in SnGs then my bankroll is actually up overall. Gonna allow myself a little celebration for this.

So back from Scotland and I just caught up with the Wembley tournament stuff to see who's still in and who the guy at my table that everyone kept taking photos of actually was. Turns out it was Peter Eastgate! How did I not recognise him? :fp:

Regarding the Goliath hotel booking (I haven't done it yet), do we realise that the room only has two beds? :shifty:

To be fair I was in seat 1 and he was the other side of the dealer, plus he was folding nearly every hand, so I wasn't really looking at him much. He also never spoke English while at the table.
I think I only played one decent pot with him and that was when I had a full house and he paid off my river bet, presumably holding a straight.

Scotland was gorgeous, I picked the right days for it.

I don't really mind to be honest, that's fine with me. I promise I'm only flirty when I've been drinking. :dread: if you guys are happy then I am.

Shipped another tourney on 888 for $282. It's like pre-2008 on there.

SB ($2.75)
BB ($0.67)
Hero (UTG) ($3.91)
MP1 ($1.47)
MP2 ($2.06)
CO ($2.02)
Button ($2)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with KImage, JImage
Hero bets $0.06, 1 fold, MP2 raises to $0.16, 4 folds, Hero calls $0.10

Flop: ($0.35) 5Image, KImage, 4Image (2 players)
Hero bets $0.24, MP2 raises to $0.48, Hero calls $0.24

Turn: ($1.31) 3Image (2 players)
Hero checks, MP2 bets $0.24, Hero calls $0.24

River: ($1.79) QImage (2 players)
Hero checks, MP2 checks

Total pot: $1.79 | Rake: $0.06

Looking at it now pretty much confirms my suspicion that I should have bet the turn, and if not then definitely the river. If he had pocket 5s then he wouldn't have raised me preflop.... probably.... he could have had AA but then that's so unlikely.

I was intimidated because he had three silver stars next to his avatar :dread:

After a very long FT, Mikey is HU for the 5k Stud/8 bracelet!

3:1 chip disadvantage though.

Edit - He's done it!

I was just about to book that room, and saw this one for the same sort of price (£13ea per night) with three single beds: http://www.laterooms.com/en/hotel-reservations/148298_dakota-guest-house-coventry.aspx (have to scroll to bottom)

Alternatively, the other hotel you can pay extra (probably £5 per night) and have a rollaway bed?

It's only the Main Event we generally have spoiler boxes for. :P

Good news about Goliath.

The room is booked. I have gone for the original hotel as it is a bit closer to the casino.

We'll sort the money out on the day.
