Got a joint first tonight (did a deal heads up) for £147. Played really well, I feel very much on it at the moment, never panicking when short stacked, betting when I'm ahead, folding/checking when behind, all going good.
The following things happened tonight which made it memorable.
Fish decided to confront me on the fact that I had called him 'overly talkative' online - by jokingly suggesting people were being driven away by his incessant talking. It was obviously a joke, but apologised if he took offence, but it wasn't meant that way and he does talk a lot, I talk a lot - so what - it was just banter, guy needs to take himself less seriously.
Entertainly, we were sat next to each other at the table, so blind on blind action all the time.
I was determined not to get into a levelling war with the guy and took a lot of his chips. I started the final five in fifth and doubled through 7s with A-Q to put me back in the mix, and then started to own Fish.
At one point I called his river bet with King high and for the first time in my whole life, I saw Fish be silent for two minutes.
Also, we saw a horrendous (unintentional) slowroll with Queens when Fish had shoved 6-6 on the bubble. Fish was so on tilt it was hilraious. He started having a massive go at Queens guy who just didn't understand his anger (not a great player) but in the process he missed the short stacked player DOUBLE FIST PUMPING that he had gone out and he had laddered up. He'd have gone apocalyptic if he had seen that!
Someone also made a joke about the black guy at the table, and banter was being shared about black guys being better then white guys etc etc, but then rather unwisely the conversation ended, and then the very next sentence started with the opening gambit 'You monkey!' when talking to another white guy about him immediately sucking out on him at Kalooki, but heard all together it REALLY didnt sound good!
Also fill in the blank. 'Remy performed a
BLANK big blind straddle raise all in blind during the second blind level and was promptly knocked out.
