2nd again in a 2-7 donkfest. Urgh. Guy ran so good HU it was unreal. Imagine having to play a guy who never pairs and still beats a pat ten when drawing three. :x

What is this Pheonix thing?

Also, I know I mentioned the Saturday Grind, but I actually can't do it this Saturday  (Unless I get snowed in and can't get to Leicester)

The Phoenix is pretty baller - they have a separate room for the final table and hole card detectors, meaning you can watch the action on the TVs outside whilst knowing the hole cards.

The table is still there, but they have moved it into the main room now.

£75 for winning first week of uni's poker this semester :D . Was down to 1BB when 8 handed but got A3 under the gun just before being forced to use my CHIP as big blind with A3 and hit a straight  Then doubled up again with A9 called by AJ and hit the 9.

Then doubled up with K10 against aces. Shoved and was in bad shape after the flop and I stood up to leave but hit kings on the turn and river

Got really rather lucky in some bad spots. But yeah. Much needed financial boost. means in the last 4 uni events I've won 3 of them and split the pot for the other one. About £240 in those 4 weeks. Need that good run of form to continue!

We should do some kind of tournament soon. Not a full blown GRSOP, but maybe just 1 Hold'em game on a Sunday. Or other games, if wanted.

Guess you guys don't bother with play money at all? I've recently downloaded PKR again and I'm getting pissed off at the wankers going all in every bloody round.
