Sorry to go slightly OT but wondered if you kind folk could help me.

Registered with bet365 today and got a bonus of £60 after a deposit of £40. Played a few games and ended up with a total of around £120, thought I'd take £20 out go cover my initial deposit but it says I can only take out a maximum of £40. Keep playing and end up down with around £70 and when I see what I can withdraw it has now taken the money from my initial deposit.

Can someone how the bonuses work? Seems a bit unfair to not let me withdraw money when I'm up but take it from my initial deposit when I'm down.

I'm out sadly, but I may play the 22.30 game later on.

Just got knocked out the main event in quite a brutal way:

All in pre with KK v AT:

Image

Flop gives me a set so I just need to avoid a jack.
Turn brings another ace so the jack no long matters I just need to avoid the last ace.
River is the ace :fp:

At the same time in two other tournies I'm playing:
I get knocked on the bubble when my AQs shove is called by 63 and he flops two pair.
In another I also get it in with AQs and called by K4, he rivers a four to knock me out.

That's enough poker for tonight

Just saw a player call shoves twice in a row and be up against Aces. Next hand, they got aces and shoved, he lost to JJ.

Just got busted out of the uni poker final. So pleased with how I played. Was a shortstack for really quite a while and ended up in third for £50. Can't think of a single mistake I made so pretty pleased with that.

I'm off to the UK Student Poker Championship today! Cashed the Main Event in 21st place last year, so hoping to better that.

Good luck Clarkman!

I'm still making good progress with my OFC Poker app. I've pretty much got all of the mechanics in place now and I can play a single player game. I just need to add an opponent/local multiplayer and then the core game is done.

After that I'll be adding more features and making it look nice. It's been a good learning experience, and I'll probably make some other apps after this.

OFC Poker is coming along very nicely!

You can now play two-player locally, so the basic game is all there except for the scoring which is next on my list.

I'm not sure how I'm going to go about adding another two players. In terms of programming it is easy, but fitting four people on one sceen isn't going to work at the moment. The cards I'm using are just placeholder anyway (as are all the graphics so far), so I will probably have to design my own and make them a bit smaller.

Here's how it's looking now anyway:
Image
(The reason it is darker on the right is because it dims when it's not your turn)

I'm just going to play about with this in Photoshop now and come up with some better graphics...

Good going! How long until it'll be finished, do you reckon?

Well I'll probably just get the scoring done, fix some bugs, and work on the graphics/layout then release a local two-player only version on the store for free. Hopefully within a couple of weeks I'll be able to release something.

After that I will add updates so it can support four players and also have some AI opponents.

Just to warn you - the Chinese Poker app thats popular on iPhone hits on Android in May - so if you want to get it out before then that what you need to be beating.

Cheers for the heads up. I'm not really expecting to compete with that as I'm very unlikely to get an online mode working any time soon.
There is already an app on Android now anyway, it released a couple of weeks ago but they charge over £4 for it and the reviews are mixed. It doesn't have online either.

Really, this is just programming practice and I'm going to release it for free. :D

I've just designed my own deck of cards and put them in the game now, plus come up with a rough idea of the overall look:

Currently 3rd of 31 on a 888Poker Tourney. 1st is $570 or so. It's a deal run by some football tipster thing, so I figured it might be full of 30 year old lager louts who aren't great at poker. Somewhat misjudged it, although the field is weaker than your average Stars/FT tourney but I did get the pearler of seeing someone ask "How do I buy more coins?"

Aye, happy with that. Although the field seemed really weak. Might be ripe for picking in the future.

Also, just depositing approx £15 or so on 888 at least gets you 7 tournament tickets, ranging from $1 to $7, which isn't bad.
