I usually catch up with the highlights on YouTube afterwards, you do miss a lot of the action that way though.

Are you streaming it or?

Tonight I sat next to David Lopez of Brighton and Hove Albion FC at a poker table.

David Lopez  loved him at Bilbao. How's he doing at Brighton? And what's he like at poker?

Uni game tonight. Won £245ish from the last 4 of these overall (with a christmas break in the middle) so technically haven't been knocked out of one of these since the end of November  Pretty sure I'm due a bad beat. Last week was so shortstacked... Shoved with A3 against KQ and hit the straight, shoved with A9 and beat AJ, shoved with K10 and beat AA, hitting trips on the turn & river, Shoved with King high on an A A 3 4 board and convinced someone with an ace that I was so strong he folded  Not pleased when I showed. Playing a bit tighter against him tonight

I'm due a bad beat

He's alright actually. Plays a fairly sensible, straight forward kind of game. Solid.

Lovely bloke to boot.

Doing a mini-Sunday grind. :slol:

Off to a nice start in the Bigger $5.50, after hitting my first ever Royal Flush! strawberry floaters wouldn't call my river value bet though.

Got second tonight. £46 isn't too bad. Last 5 results at uni poker = Split first, first, first, first, second. about £300 taken in in that time for £40 spent. Can't complain.

Casinos aren't great, but they have got a lot better - the Gunwharf Grosvenor I am reliably informed has now stopped ignoring poker and now hosts regular 10 table games. I think a Phoenix (my local poker club which is WAY too well run for a local club) and Gunwharf double may be on - rather then travelling to Bournemouth and getting lost seeing rabbits jump eight feet in the air like strawberry floating 'Pink Elephants On Parade' at 4am. :dread:

At some point I could probably be tempted to come to a Pompey poker game I imagine.

Maybe, depends if you lot can put up with me...

Cheers for the info DML. Are both open and run late on Saturday nights? Is there a chance I might get mugged as I'm weak and frail? Thinking of doing a bit of live play as I haven't had chance to do as casino since Goliath, could make it a mini-weekend trip thingy with the Cov match. I've always found Grosvenor's alright- been in the one at the Ricoh and one down in Brighton which seemed decent.
