I want that hat so bad. I will discuss a deal the moment they let me though.

It'd be nice if a couple of the short stacks went out, the money jumps up very quick.

Hmm, I wouldn't rush into a deal if it were me.

$1200 is nice, but if you're not next out then you get $1100 anyway.

Edit: Deal done. Nice amount anyway, Congrats!

...and the hat still to play for.

Edit2: And next out. :(
I guess you got $400 more than you would have without a deal, so that worked out well.

Incredible job to final table such a huge field. Well done!

I believe 5th place would have paid $823, sat.

I'm sorry I couldn't bring it home. Thanks so much for the rail guys!

Yeah: 5th $823, 4th $1169, 3rd $1516, 2nd $1862, 1st $2683
Deal was $1255

The way I see it is that if I refused the deal and came 4th then I wouldn't mind as the chance to win more than $1255 is worth the $86 I lost compared to a deal. The same thing applies with 5th except the cost of refusing the deal is $432. So I guess if you think you're likely to finish 5th then the extra $432 is worth it.
You benefited from the deal in the end anyway, and good job on getting the ICM numbers rather than Chip Chop!

Hehe. I was SO pleased to see the best player bust in 8th. I knew that after that I could probably make it to a decent score. I could have pressed for more, but it is late, I'm very tired and the game is so, so swingy. I'm happy with the cash. It is sorts rent through to Christmas and some nice presents for the gf!

Well done Clarky! I've just entered a MM thing now, but having not played much in the last two years, I may be a touch rusty :slol:

You've only got 1.

Thats like saying you have Two Johnstone Paint Trophies, I have one Champions League. 8-)

I'm sure enjoying those imaginary bracelets anyway. ;)

Which imaginary bracelets are you enjoying?

None.....but then I've got a national title. I'll win a GR one one day, but theres no guarentee you'll win a national title. ;)

The funniest bit is thinking you're better at poker then me, you haven't even started to unravel the game yet. 8-)

You really think I was being serious? I was taking the piss just then as you said "I'm sure enjoying those imaginary bracelets anyway.", I guess you meant to say "I'm sure you're enjoying...

Of course I don't think I'm better at poker, I need to play live tournaments more as I'm not improving much just playing average players once a week for no money at LPPL. I'm happy with my online game, though, and think I played pretty solidly in the GRSOP.

What's the cash like, Clarkman?

No of course not you plank!

I don't think you'll ever win a GR title and it will be hilarious. Yes, you may win a couple of other titles at some point, but the harder you try the more painful it gets for you when you come so close to winning a GRSOP bracelet. And then you'll offer to trade one of my imaginary bracelets for your APAT title, laughing manically as I reluctantly agree.

Or, you know, you'll donk the 8-game next year or something.

Oh and nice one Clarkman, just caught up. Did you deal for $1200 in the end?

Railin' on the side waiting on my coffee to arrive from the woman!

I didn't know there were 2500 people that know the rules of Badugi, let alone how to play it.
