Just played a few DYM's on sky poker - Absolute hot streak. Last 5 hands of the second game that finished it off were me being dealt QJ suited (which I actually folded), AK, 88, JJ and AA (my third aces in about an hour).

To be fair, I still don't think you're folding. Unless you'd been playing with him for a while, it seems as though he's just a donk looking to win/lose some quick money.

Yeah, I hadn't seen many hands from him so I just assumed he was going to have air. Ah well.

Last five live pub results - 1st, 2nd, 1st, 1st and now 2nd. Heads up the last five times I've played isn't bad.

You've only got the last 2 because I was there, I'd have won them both otherwise. Letting us go HU once, but knocking you out first in the other. 8-)

But seriously, you must be pretty much nailed on for venue champ as long as you go to the rest of the games this month, right?

I'm pretty nailed on even if I didn't play the rest to be honest.

Sounds like an easy to win venue full of bad players and two-time GRSOP bracelet winner PPM.

If only I lived nearer.

There is a couple of good players, but they are tight and allow me to go wild with loose play. Theres this one guy who was playing at a pace I would describe as 'glacial' - less tight, more calling a bet when he has trips on a K-J-6-6-3 board rather then rather then raising at any point. I was getting kinda irritated that I couldn't get this guy in a lock, and eventually I got him to snap. Checked A-2 to him and he insta went in on a A-K-Q board. I snap-called that mummy strawberry floater and he flipped J-J and then made a very quick exit when the board blanked out. Good.

Found a local game which I'll try for the first time on Thursday. Should be fun.

I've seen some live hands in my time, but for actual bad beatness - this has to be one of the most unbelievable I've ever seen.

A-8 shoves for his whole stack, and gets snapped off by 10-10.

The flop comes 9-9-10.

Turn 9.

River 9.

Let that sink in.

First live game (since the Goliath and pretty much ever) didn't go too bad. 4th hand in, had 99. Got one called, flop was 8-8-9 to give me a full. Bet and called that, turn was a 7. Not sure what exactly happened, but all the money ended in, my 99 beat his 87 which wasn't a bad start. Sadly some ill-advised bets later I ended calling a shortstack shove with JJ in the Big Blind and losing out to A4, then my shortstack shove with Q9 got called off by K-10 which held. Still, good fun. Seem like a friendly bunch with some interesting dynamics and players.
