Grosvenor in Coventry just tweeted something about a 'Warwick Series of Poker' champion. Rex/Rocketman- any knowledge about this?

Definitely going to try a few sattelites, and maybe buy into Day 1 if I don't win a seat. I think it sounds good, and playing poker on Wembley pitch would be a very cool experience. It will probably be quite juicy too, with a lot of football fans who are useless at poker.

I coincidentally have another week off work during the 2nd week of Micromillions, so I will definitely be grinding the micros that weekend.

4th at uni poker and came home with £20. Not bad but ran pretty card dry. Definitely maximised what I could've done with what I was dealt. Best hand was jacks all night. Only highlight was busting someone with the nuts flush with a full house Queens over jacks. Apart from that nothing to write home about.

Yeah, we hold our annual £50 NLHE tourney there over the weekend. Also had a PLO tourney there on the Friday night. Some fresher/2nd year/someone from Warwick won it this year. Only gets like 40 runners nowadays and thats mainly thanks to alumni playing. It used to get >100. Last year I came 2nd and won the PLO. Only min cashed the PLO this year (never cleared starting stack in it).

Hm. Is it worth risking it on a student card that runs out this summer, even though I'm not actually a student... :shifty:

This weekend is all turbos and rebuys. Week Saturday is better imo.

Schedule here.

I got 1-outed in an $11 MTT tonight. There was about 150 players left with 80 getting paid, and I was 15th vs someone with a slightly higher stack, and winning the pot would have made me chip leader. AQ v QQ on Ace flop, river is the final queen. :x
