As before with Diancie, if anyone is able to get me either a spare code or a spare Hoopla, I would be eternally gratefully.

And eternity is a bloody long time to have a favour in the bank.

If I wanted to trade my old emerald guys up to the new games, how would I go about it? Do I need to be at a certain point in emerald? I take it I'd need an original ds to read the GBA game?

A lot of trading between systems.

You need a copy of Emerald, an old DS, Pokemon Sapphire/Pearl/Platinum, Pokemon Black/White or their sequels and a Pokemon game from this gen. Also, some time, as it takes long.

A new Pokémon has been revealed by CoroCoro today that is to appear as a main character alongside Volcanion in the upcoming movie. It's called Magiana and looks like a metal Diancie. Pretty sure we can expect the next Pokémon RPG in the series just around the corner, what with the previously revealed Zygarde forms as well.

It feels like we're due a new generation either late this year or in early 2017, as the recent pattern seems to be a 3 year wait or so with a set of remakes/"third edition" games in between.

Diamond and Pearl came out in 2007 with HG/SS in 2009. Black and White were 2010 with B2/W2 in 2012 and X and Y were 2013 with Ruby/Sapphire in 2015.

So surely one must get announced shortly?

I am not sure what the deal is with Pokemon Z though, has it officially been unveiled?

Due to the way they reveal games in Nintendo Directs, they usually have a fast turnaround from unveiling to release date, so they could show something in April and have it out by October (think that's how it worked with X and Y). It makes sense to have a big game this year, as it's the 20th anniversary, though just having Z would be a little underwhelming. Seeing as this third editions been a long time coming, it should have some substantial additions and expansions.

What's the likelihood of someone having a spare DS and copy of the 2 gens of DS games required to trade up my emerald file? Ideally with save games at the point I could trade up?

I'd be happy to pay for postage and return them when I'm done.

So today is the 20th anniversary! :toot:

I realised last night that I'm only a handful of Pokemon away from completing the Hoenn dex. It would be the first time since Blue that I've completed a regional dex. What better way to mark the anniversary? :o

My Sceptile also hit level 99 last night, and he'll almost certainly hit 100 as I wander about today. I've never actually trained a Pokemon to max level before, and Sceptile is my starter from all the way back in the original Sapphire. So, data wise, he's my oldest Pokemon. There could be no better day for him to reach that milestone. :toot:
