Woo :D

I do agree that the new batch of Pokémon were pretty weak for Gen3 (Luvdisc :dread:) but I still really like Hoenn as a region, even if it had a bit too much water. Have played the crap out of Y so am excited for this! Although oddly enough I have already nearly finished the Gen 3 part of the national Pokédex.

Remakes now to add to the rest of the exploitation tactics they use for these games. Everyone complains about Activision but they need to take a look at this franchise.

Nice. Easily the worst game of the entire series but let's face it - all the Pokémon handheld RPGs are great.

Will pick up Sapphire again. Be nice to see it updated a la XY with 3D battles and such and maybe do what HG/SS did allowing us to catch some legendaries and stuff that weren't available in the original RSE.

Luvdisc, ludicolo's whole evolutionary line, whatever nosepass was supposed to be, tropius, feebas only being in like five tiles of a 500 tile lake, nuke it from orbit.

Feebas is much easier to get now, and you can't imagine they'd bring back the same system of catching it.

Magnetric though

Be interesting to see if they continue with the X/Y look or revert back to an update on the original... Kinda hope for the former...

I don't think it's that bad, the remakes are generally upgraded enough to justify their existence, in fact Soul Silver was my favourite DS Pokémon game easily. Plus it's not a consistently yearly franchise, though obviously this is a case where it is coming out a year after X/Y.

Actually, I'm surprised a Pokémon Z or X/Y v.2 wasn't announced before this.

The real question is, is there anyone out there neckbeard enough to go for Omega Ruby over Alpha Sapphire?

I completely missed this gen first time round, so a revamp will be well-appreciated.

Same here. I expected a Pokémon Z but I prefer this announcement :)

Maybe some new Mega Evos? I believe Mega Latios/Latias exists in the coding for XY and the Lati twins were introduced originally in RSE so there's one we might now get access to.

Now that I think about it I quite liked some of the Pokés in RSE. Kyogre is badass, the Lati twins. Jirachi. Rayquaza. Swampert, Blaziken and Sceptile all decent starters, Gardevoir, Milotic, Aggron which now has a badass MegaEvo - same with Absol. Just hated Hoenn as a region

Might as well go for "Pokemon Beta Friendzone Edition". Alpha or nothing.

Not particularly surprising news. The amount of hoenn name drops in x/y pointed to this and it was the next logical game.

New adventure and new land makes me think it won't be just a simple remake, but instead a "sequel" to ruby/sapphire so the land is completely changed so less water routes which was the main complaint with hoenn?

is that mega Groudon & Kyogre? Kyogre doesn't seem particularly different, just more colourful.
