Hopefully Valve's proton devs do some work to fix it.

I reckon my PSU is on the way out as I had a couple random crashes a few days ago. Got another one ordered which will also give me a little headroom for future CPU/GPU upgrades.

I've had bit of an issue with my boot drive now as well, which I hope is PSU related. Swapping it to the rear M.2 slot got it working again and it would seem that I don't lose PCIe lanes to the GPU unlike my last motherboard so maybe I could just leave it.

Have you checked the event log for things like kernel critical power errors? That's what I did when my PSU was on the way out.

I didn't even think to do that before running to get my wallet... Just hope the awful coil whine that has popped up in the last week in the PSU as well. :shifty:

I can't remember exactly how I did it, but when mine started playing up I googled random shutdowns and someone said to run the Event Log. From there I saw the kernel error 41/42/summinorovver and googled it again to see that I needed a new PSU. The computer refusing to switch on the next day gave me another minor clue as well though

It's quite interesting to look at the Event Log actually - I was puzzled to see that my CPU had been running continuously for many months, despite me shutting down after every session. It turns out that the CPU doesn't actually fully power cycle when you click shutdown - it only goes full lights out when you restart (or your PSU cuts the juice!)

Steam Spring Sale starts tonight at 6pm, wondering how much of my wishlist will get reduced :slol:

I can't justify any purchases really as I've already bought too much in Jan and Feb.

But I might be convinced if Trombone Champ has a good discount

I enjoyed playing Halo last night and the MCC collection is now 80% off, but it's really disappointing there's no proper crossplay.

Most of my wishlist is discounted but I don't think I'll be buying anything.

Bought Trombone Champ and Castle of Illusion but I really can't justify anything else. Although there's loads I'd love to get.

Plenty on my wishlist is discounted, but not by enough. Where my 95%s at?

Got a few games, Jedi Fallen Order for £3.49 seemed a good price so got that along with some indie games and also Fable Anniversary

Would like to get Fallen Order at that price but I hate the idea of having to install EA's launcher.

Yeah, I must already have the launcher as I have Mass Effect Trilogy but I wish EA and Ubi didn’t require the launchers

I have so little time for gaming anymore that buying anything seems a waste. I might pick up a couple of cheap things like the talos principle 2 and maybe some dlc for games I already have but it certainly doesn't make sense to go mad.

If it wasn’t for the portability of Switch/Steam Deck I’d rarely get a proper chance to play games these days.

I really miss the days of ridiculous discounts in Steam sales.
