Head up folks: people who use VPNs to unlock Steam games early will no longer be able to do so as of the next version of Steam which is currently in public beta.

Why they doing that? Thought Valve loved open platform.

Valve might but the other publishers might not.

I guess they'll be making the game release tied to the region it was bought in. If so, you could just VPN for the purchase.

Get out of this thread.

Yeah you're right. Went through the tutorials earlier and started a game while I was working. I usually end up with an average message send time of about 1 message every 1 minute 5 seconds, after a four hour shift while playing Civ it ended up at 1 message every 2 minutes 24 seconds. Now I know what i'm doing I can't wait to get back to it!

Started playing through bioshock but it's crashed twice already when hacking, and once went into windowed mode for no reason. Bloody thing.

CS:GO didn't run great for me the last time I played it and there's really no reason for the performance to be so much worse than CSS. I've heard they've patched it to make it more optimized so maybe it's better now but c'mon.

I can understand if it's something like Battlefield 3 but you shouldn't have to upgrade your hardware for a Counter Strike game.

Does anyone know whether I can use the X360 play and charge cable as a USB cable to connect a wireless 360 pad to my computer? Or will I need a wired controller?

Need a wired controller unless you have a wireless adapter as well as the charge kit.

Won't work Skarj, MS won't allow it.

Need a wireless receiver or a wired controller. I use a wireless receiver, less cables and multiplayer with only one usb slot taken up.
