Karl you need to add "no fun having" to the op, seeing as it is one of the main rules we abide by... at all times.

I've got one of the Civ games but I had no idea what was going on when I played it and got bored pretty quick. I guess it's time for a second chance for it! Cheers guys.

You've got games like Civ 5, Company of Heroes, Football Manager etc which only a PC can do justice to. The best selection of indie games (sorry Falsey). There's amazing mods like DayZ or Icenhancer for GTA4. AND all the game styles you can get on consoles with superior control methods, 360 pad support, the games look better and cost less

Oh, and Steam  - whats not to feel smug about

Mate, this whole forum has been a nicer place ever since quite a few posters have made the jump to PC. There's been a significant drop in bumpain feelings when pc gamers discuss gaming and I attribute that all to a lot of gamers realising the potential of their PC.

Where are all the console v PC arguments? There are none, because everyone has finally grown up and stopped making excuses for the consoles once they've got their PC. Even that dude who constantly reports every post he can possibly read has stopped his bullshit, he's been forced to troll in other ways ever since he finally started playing on his thousand quid PC.

Accept my friends request on steam and mumble up.

 bless

Judging but some posts/topics in ATF I wonder how many folks have a pre-build that can't be expanded/gone tits-up through cheap components etc and thought nah, pc too buch bother and dismiss it from then on.

My first PC was built by Mesh which at the time had some decent reviews for being well built/tidy cabled/decent components. Second and current PC I wanted something which was good for Photoshop/Painter so I got someone to build me one based on this fact. I think i'll have the confidence to look at doing any future upgrading myself.

Football Manager has been my choice but after 325 hours and countless Premiership titles with Woking, i'm a bit burnt out on it now. The only requirement is that it lets you play in your own time, it doesn't constantly move ahead and will just sit and wait for you until you next click on it. I'd like a game that doesn't require you to have sound on too if possible.

Anyone got any recommendations?

Defcon has a special "work mode" where you double tap a key and it minimises to the system tray and sets the game speed to minimum or paused if it's single player.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

Well that's amazing. I work from home and basically just have to wait for a message to pop up so I don't need something like that, but that's a brilliant idea!

...so Falsey, what do you have to say to [insert IT question here]?

I don't care, as I just turned all of Africa into molten glass, that's what. Bitch.
