Brilliant. Any chance of a link to GRcade on there?

I've added the website to the Wikipedia entry.

If anybody that reads this thread is decent with photoshop, and can shove something Playstation related together, that would be great. I'd have a go at extracting the logo from one of the issues, and basing it around that, but it's a bit too fiddly for me.

I've put in a request in the Staff Room - perhaps we can link it up or something.

Yeah I can link to GRCade on it. If you can convince Cal to make a logo that would be great!

I'll make a thread on Retromags later, and issue #9 is nearly ready to be put up. #8 is missing because I need to re-scan the cover, if anyone was wondering.

Do you still have the demo discs?

Cal made me a couple of great logos.

I'm tweaking a couple of things, and then issue #8 will be up. :D

Are you going to scan the discs, and do you have a YouTube account? You can post videos of these demo discs on YouTube. The earliest I've seen on YouTube is the demo from January '96 (Demo Disc 2).

I will be adding the demo sleeve scans, but I can't post videos as I don't currently have a Playstation to run them on. :(

Well that's too bad. I always wanted to see the first ever demo disc from the magazine. ACRetro has the most Official UK PlayStation Magazine demo discs I ever seen on YouTube. But the earliest his collection goes back to is Demo disc 2 (January '96).

#7 is back up, and I've added the demo sleeves and screenshots for any game with a Starplayer award. Issue #8 will be up tomorrow night.

@TomFromSouth - I don't have a YouTube account. Only watch, don't make.

Oh that's good! Issue #8 is the one with the ''3D'' Official UK PlayStation Magazine logo on the front cover, and the only issue to have that.

Shame that you don't have a YT account. I am absolutely DYING to see the first ever Official UK PlayStation Magazine demo disc interface (it was just called the Official PlayStation Magazine by that time, wasn't called the Official UK PlayStation Magazine until issue #2, but still said the Official PlayStation Magazine on the interface).

Yep, the trivia section for each issue details bits like that.

The pictures in the Olympic Soccer review are slighly curious - the pitches, rather than green, were purple. This was a printing error, explained in OPM #9, complete with a re-review.

That would explain why the review in 9 was nothing more than a page of pictures.

Yep, they make several snide comments about it during the issue - the Quizstation quiz and the issue #10 preview.

haha, that logo for issue 8 :fp:

"Ooooo photoshop 3 has a warp feature!!!! OMFG!!!

Edit > transform > WAAARP!!!

"man, wait till those cats at Sony see THIS, I'm gonna get promoted for sure!!"

Sony exec - "what the F**K!!??"

P45.

Cheers for uploading these. Are the demo discs worth anything these days? I know for a fact I have about 25 pristine demo discs still in their sleeves from this era.

Not worth too much, really, especially if they don't have the magazines with them. You'll might get a few quid for the 3 Yaroze special discs though.

Man, if only I owned every Official (UK) PlayStation Magazine demo disc there is (the 108 normal demo discs and the special demo discs (I don't know how many specials there are) including the Football Special Demo disc (even though I don't like football that much)), I could have done something similar, or post YouTube videos of the demo discs.
