Hmmmm, two sessions and no Red Bull quickest...... yet.

Albon binned it to, theres talk of giving Sargents chassis to Albon (they only have one), but as much as Albon is the better driver, he binned it and not Sargent, would be a huge blow to Logan's confidence which is already probably pretty low behind closed doors.

Don't worry, we already know who's going to win so it won't be long until normal service resumes.

Red Bull 1-2 is a guarantee for the race unfortunately.

Looking forward to it more for the track itself. Always used to love the season opener being at Melbourne, and I like being able to record the race, get up really early for bacon sandwiches and tea, then fast forward all the boring shite. You can be finished watching by 7am and have not wasted the day watching :datass:

Not fair that Sarge has to miss the race and Alex steals his car.

If Alex trashes his car, he should sit out.. I know he's the team's best chance of a good result, but it's not fair if sarge hasn't done anything wrong.

I'd agree. It isn't like Sargent has binned it in the other races to cause the limitation (afaik). Unless it is caused by all his crashes last year.

This will be Albon tomorrow when he looks over at Sargent in the pits:

Yeah that’s not a fair decision at all, the one time I’ve felt sorry for Sargent in his F1 career so far

It’s a little worrying that a month into the season, Williams haven’t got a spare chassis yet. Williams are going to look a little silly if Albon is still pointless after this weekend.

Someone must have not saved the latest version of the spreadsheet.

It was the first I'd heard abut excel problems at Williams when I was catching up with the repeat of FP this morning, didn't realise it was causing genuine issues

Doubly gutted Le Mans falls on my weekend in work this year, I did wonder if we'd see Seb doing other stuff like WEC/Le Mans, really hope he does well, wonder who he'll get partnered with in the (I presume) 3rd entry for the team at Le Mans.

Edit, now I'm watching random videos of Vettel on YouTube :slol: Still think his second half of 2022 (post retirement announcement) was the best we'd seen from him since the early part of 2018. Thankfully had a few highs even in the latter stages of his career.

Albon hates it, the surface is rough and coarse and gets everywhere, he wishes the kerbs didn't kill the front wings and all the rear wings too. Even the chassis don't survive in his hands.

Not like Naboo, where everything is soft and smooth.

"Why does Albert Park race me so hard?

For the record I've always thought Albon is crap, and Sargeant being worse flatters him.
