Definitely holding off due to concerns about frame rate, although that has more to do with my GPU being the minimum recommended, and also currently being on the way out, rather than anything to do with the games actual performance.

Will probably wait for a price drop and get it anyway at some point, even if I expect to bounce off it like I did with the previous Souls titles. I just can't get away from how amazing these worlds look and feel.

I really, really want to play this. But I haven't paid £50 for a game in years, and I'm not about to start now.

Was that a special offer? I can only see it as £44.99 on the website.

I believe you have to apply the checkout code SWNEXTDAY, Preezy.

Yes, used that code for extra £5 off. It was two weeks ago so not sure if it still works.

What format are you looking to play it on, mhtl? If Xbox - and if you're looking for it a bit cheaper - you can get eight quid off the download version from ShopTo - £41.85.

Were you expecting it to be delivered today or are you just holding off, SoK?

Great stuff, satriales! Don't forget to update the voting :-).

Yeah. It got sent out early and via 1st Class, so it should have arrived today.

It's about £25-£30 on Xbox depending on the region store you use. There's also another £5 in reward points through the reward app.

Yeah I'm not doing region swapping. I don't mind if it's a game that's unavailable in the UK, but not to save a few quid.

Would eight quid off be enough, mhtl? Check out above if so :-) .

Nah, I'm happy to wait for the £20 mark. Cheers anyway. :)

I presume you're going to want it on Xbox for the Cheevos, but region swapping on PSN seems to have a low risk of them ever blocking your account or purchase. I got Bloodborne on a different store way back in 2015 and they've never stopped me from accessing it. You should be fine, and you can definitely save more than just a few quid.

'Should' being the operative word there. It's genuinely not worth the risk, no matter how small.

Got it digitally, played it this morning for a few hours and streamed my deaths to twitch. Enjoyable so far.

Though if I have to farm for gooseberry fool to keep me alive, like DsS on PS5, then it can get strawberry floated.

To be fair, that applies to every digital purchase as well, given that we don't really own it and access could be removed at any time (especially with Sony's attitude to backwards compatibility). "You should be able to play it in the future" probably applies to a lot of digital content, moreso stuff with online modes and loads of patches.

If you're not desperate to play it, it will inevitably be £20 at some point. Might take a couple of years to get there.

If worse comes to worse, just move to Argentina do you can keep playing it. Then games would be cheap all the time.

It's not the possibility of losing the game, it's the potential of having my account blocked due to breaking the terms of service. I know they don't really care, I know there's next to no chance of anything happening. But I ain't taking that risk.

Got my copy. It's installing now. But... I think I'm gonna finish ME3 first; I just can't bring myself to ditch a game in the middle of the playing it. I know it ends poorly, but I'm enjoying it at the moment and so will see it through to the bitter end.

Yeah, that's probably a good approach, SoK - better to complete your Mass Effect Trilogy journey ahead of tackling Elden.

This is my approach too. Just not worth the risk, when my account has so much value attached to it.
