I look forward to Coulson's inevitable arse kicking at the hands of the Mitchell brothers

What's interesting is how, depending on what news article you read, nobody seems to know exactly when Ross Kemp and Rebekah divorced. Anywhere from 2006 to 2009 seems to be the rough estimate.

I can't remember who originally broke the story - Private Eye possibly.

Hang on, this is deeply infuriating.

Coulson is punching far too high above his weight in the romance stakes, especially for a man who resembles a potato.

Didn't everybody already know this though? Didn't we find out that the Daily Mail headline a few months ago was about Mrs Weasley and the Potato man?

The DM have a credibility gap a mile long. They could make you doubt anything just by claiming it is true.

She still far too good for the likes of Mr Potato Head.

So the prosecution is presenting its case:

Then News of the World editor Andy Coulson told a senior journalist investigating an exclusive story on television celebrity Calum Best to "do his phone", a court has heard.

Mr Coulson emailed the instruction to his then head of news, Ian Edmondson, prosecutor Andrew Edis QC said.

The defence hasn't presented their case yet.

I have no idea what that case could possibly be though. An older boy made me do it? It was all a wizard's spell?

I think if they directly implicated a Murdoch then we'd let them both off with a cheery wave.

The point I was making is that we shouldn't jump to conclusions about the case. Sure if they're guilty then bugger them, but we've got a while to go yet! These characters are slippery types with plenty tricks up their sleaves. They could get off scot free yet!

When I wrote "do his phone" I meant call him up and verify all aspects of the story as good journalism practice demands.

Or maybe the defence will decide to cross-examine Andy Coulson's pet parrot.

Clearly when he said "do his phone" he meant "have sex with it"

They knew all this evidence before they pleaded Not Guilty though...

Blatently hoping for something to happen for a mistrial.

Is it common to e-mail an instruction to call a celebrity up to verify a story to head of news?
