Opted to start on Metroid Fusion this morning after getting fed up of waiting for Zero Mission to get added first, just entered sector 2, I know its very linear as far as Metroid games go, but its so good, might have to finally get around to playing Dread again if they don't add Zero Mission in the next couple of months. Hoping to finally get through Paper Mario on the N64 app before the Thousand Year Door remake comes out at the end of May as well, as I've never actually played that fully yet.

In terms of Mario Tennis and Golf, personally I preferred the GCN iteration of Tennis but the N64 version of Golf is greatly superior to everything that followed.

I briefly loaded up the GameBoy version of Mario Tennis, it seems ok? My first foray into the series was the GC version, which I had a lot of fun with to be honest, if you turned off power shots it was great in 2 player mode.

Been meaning to replay Fusion for ages, but was hoping Zero Mission would have been added so I could at least play both GBA games and then Dread again.

In a very small way, its probably just as well Gen 1-3 of Pokémon aren’t on the Switch or it’d just be a Pokémon machine like the 3DS was towards the end

Edit, of course I’d still love gen 1-3 on the Switch  Into sector 6 on Fusion now, it’s fantastic, still tied at the top with Dread for me.

Completing more puzzles on Piczle Cross: Story of Seasons after installing Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection.
__________

Speaking of Battlefront, where did the almost ten extra GBs come from? The Switch version was said to be 25GB, yet I had to clear everything but Mario Kart from my internal storage to get it on there. And now I need to sort out my MicroSD card if I want to get anything else.

I'd noticed the extra GB that had been added onto the Battlefront collection, still tempted to pick it up at launch, but I know that all Star Wars games will probably be on a sale of some sorts come May the 4th, going to hold off for now and enjoy some of the classic offerings via the Online Apps, plus I still have KOTOR 2 to play.

Edit, beat Fusion earlier, something so satisfying about a game that can be beaten in a couple of sessions, ended up with a time of 3 hours and 47 min, with 50% items found, might finally give Paper Mario a proper go next, or get some more GBA games played! Both Golden Sun games and then Mario & Luigi are tempting me to be honest.

You have an incredibly consistent record, Fisher - I admire that kind of dedication. Keep on surviving the vampires, dude!

Switch owners who subscribe to Online can download a "free" trial of of Vampire Survivors. The offer runs until 23 March.

I don't have Online but I do have around two pounds worth of Gold Coins. I'm thinking about getting the game.

Hm, not sure about whether it's for me and how good it is. If only we knew somebody who was playing it...

Kingdom Come Deliverance is looking like another very good port for the aging hardware.

Only issue with stuff like this is it comes out at full whack and if your a multi console gamer you can grab it on one of the others in a sale for like £7, which really puts me off paying loads for a Switch port.

Found a pre-owned copy of BOTW in Cash Converters for £20, which is a tenner cheaper than it seems to be going for anywhere else. I was going to bite but I have a weird prejudice that I sort of trust Cash Converters less than CEX in terms of selling dodgy stock. This is probably completely unfair because I've bought games from CEX that didn't work too!

Is there anything I need to watch out for when buying Switch games second hand? It's really easy to see if a disc looks ropey but I haven't bought any pre-owned cart media for over a decade.

It’s not a game that’s ever really interested me, or I’d have probably picked it up for Xbox in the last couple of years. It looks like another very well done port for Switch only gamers though.
