I'm both looking forward to Nintendo's show and dreading it. For some reason I'm just not excited anymore. They’re clearly going to be showing off a new Zelda game, yet my hype levels are none existent. Bayonetta was one of my favourite games of the last generation, Xenoblade too, yet the prospect of a successor and spiritual successor respectively, hasn’t propelled me into picking a Wii U up. Nintendo seem a little lost.

Even the 3DS has had a poor start to the year, after such an amazing year last year, it was understandable, but there’s so much potential that feels squandered. Many a great Japanese game is sitting awaiting localisation, and sure, Nintendo isn’t at fault for a lot of those, but goddamn it, give us Dragon Quest VII! Prod the strawberry float out of Level 5 and get them to localise Fantasy Life.

I don’t remember a single time, being a Nintendo fan since the NES, that a Nintendo show hasn’t excited me, no matter how good or bad their hardware was doing at the time. I’m saddened to say I’m at that point. I hope to god that all changes on Tuesday though.

I'd love a repeat of E3 2004's surprise Zelda reveal, but with entire game line-ups coming out beforehand these days, I fear that kind of thing is not going to happen again. :(

It's the "before you leave" decade anniversary

They gotta have something good.

I'd be very surprised if you couldn't get the direct after. Either via Nintendo on the site or YouTube, one of the big gaming site or one of the fan run sites like gonintendo or gamexplain. Finding them without spoiling it though. :dread: Maybe some kind soul can make a thread that has direct links to the conferences so people can just go straight there?

Can't wait for new Zelda. Everything else is a bonus.

Aye, hopefully so! I won't be particularly mad if it is spoiled as you can hardly blame people for talking about announcements, but I love the buzz of a surprise reveal as intended. For instance, I was gutted that due to last year's stream fecking up I had to read about Mega Man in Smash Bros rather than see it in the awesome trailer.

As a non-sports person, I guess this is how I can empathise with people trying to avoid the score before watching a recorded game :P

Links I could use on my Wii U (IGN?) would be amazing. This needs to happen.

We won't be able to set foot in GGC without having surprise new titles spoiled in the topic title list.

Bookmark this thread and I'll do my best to find a link for after the show. I won't add spoilers to the topic title and any trailers or news will be in spoiler boxes.

Doesn't Nintendo usually put its own shows up on its E3 site for viewing after? It's more the other conferences I'm concerned about, but IGN should be fine for them all.

I hope they don't bang on about smash bros too much.

One for each version. I expect loads of Smash but they might spread it out over the event because of the invitational going on.

These Nintendo Directs suck ass, why oh why can't they go back to having press conferences. They don't have to be as flashy as Sony or Microsoft.
