Tried the Prima web thing. Nothing special, only added Port Mackrell (which was on disk anyway). But as they load images on an "art" section (with completely different art) using URL queries to select resolution, here's a lovely high res piece of art.

Ahah funnily enough, my brother got me a shirt from the New York Nintendo store with that art on it!

So it was designed for a t shirt anyway.

Rainmaker. Jesus strawberry floating christ. There are two goals in this mode

5. Never look at the map and notice when the person who has the Rainmaker, who you're supposed to focusing on, is swanning halfway across the strawberry floating map, and you're too strawberry floating stupid to remember what mode it is, and actually turn around, or squid jump (like, ever) and do something about it.

strawberry float you, gooseberry fool teams, and never play this game at 2am when there are only Japanese playing, because not only are they insanely good at aiming and splat bombs, stack strength attributes etc they don't play the actual mode.

strawberry floating hell. I think this game just becomes broken past around B+ rank and the players are insufferably accurate/spammy with rollers, blasters and bomb rushes every few seconds, and don't play as a team, favouring to just constantly push obliterate the opponent.

I like this game because it's not supposed to be about a kill count. I think I need to play turf war for a while, where I pretty much win every single match I'm in. It's extremely punishing to lose so many times in a row, especially when you drop rank and lose about 40 points. Twice.

I'm now dipping into lower B- territory. That's 220 ladder points in one sitting. Surely you should land on a good team, even if you're not as good as them, once in a while?

I was playing an S+ battle and the squid holding the rainmaker was just standing in the middle of Museum when I inked a whole path for it but then guess what? We lost.

That's due to the ultimate fail of never looking at the map (and standing still, which is probably the most obvious fail in a shooter of all time).

Is anyone splatting tonight? I'll try to get on for nine but I'll probably be a little late.

I'm free to splat. If I can find the disk!

GGs squids. I FINALLY fought back long and hard into B rank. Which boosts you to 30 points. 70 more and I'll be as qualified at Splatoon as I am as a bachelor of arts once again. This is important.

Fought very hard back into B+ rank. :cool:

It's now past 6am and I've hit lvl 40 and A- rank. I'm done.

Hit A rank today but lost 1-0 in Splat Zones in overtime and went down again.

I probably won't be able to make tonight's Splatfest as I'm working late this week

A few things

Dynamo Rollers spamming 1 hit fling KO. strawberry float off
Painting lanes in Rain maker that are ignored. Gaining a massive lead, being killed, and in the space of a single respawn, nobody shooting down the opposing team so they win via knockout. strawberry float off
A- rank. The ability to lose 12 points, but only gain 8 points in inexplicable circumstances. strawberry float off
Japanese players with an uncanny ability to guess where you are in the ink and aim perfectly. strawberry float off

Oh and the Splatfest is the same in the USA as well? I don't really understand why they're not doing splatfests anymore, surely it's not that hard to admin?
