Game itself should be good fun, I assume that there's local multiplayer on this as well? Don't think that's been covered whatsoever in amongst the online hype...

Indeed, Benzin, there will be a 1v1 local game mode; you fight against each other to shoot balloons...

Just ordered from the game collection as I always miss out on these pre-launch offers. Sub-£25 for a new Wii U game is pretty good.

Is the treehouse footage from last night available to rewatch? I only saw the very end.

I'd really like to get behind this but I just can't see it being anything other than a quick bit of fun. It just seems as though you'll quickly learn that all but the last minute of a match will make any difference.

That said at £25 I'm tempted just for the originality, and to give a bit of support to a team doing something different.

No video game - or almost any other product - is repeatedly produced in such small volume that it can't meet demand. Why can't Nintendo get this right?

ShopTo actually has the Splatoon LE for about £34.

I can't decide what to do :fp:

. I don't want a "free" t-shirt and my packaging fetish means that I don't want the Squid edition as the game case will sport a huge German age logo and multi-lingual descriptions on the packaging.

Right... I'm gonna stick with my ShopTo pre-order for the basic game and just hope that I can pick up the Splatoon amiibo triple pack separately.
