Yeah, the spaceship is used in the original, horribly outdated special effects on a low budget!

Pretty amazed by this. Wasn't expecting the production quality to be so high. Just bombards you with lovely visuals. Mm.

Apparently the ratings were lacklustre but then they put it on after family guy so I don't know what they were thinking.

Wonder how the ratings will be on the Discovery channel.

Enjoyed this, very nice visually, and i'm always interested in listen to people talk about Space.

Really enjoyed the first episode, great presentation.

I enjoyed it immensely, very humbling. However I did think the subject presentation was a bit off...it was very meandering in it's focus, concentrating one minute on the minutiae of the universe then ploughing straight into the infinite.

Looking forward to next weeks ep though.

The original took a similar approach to the first episode as I recall, flying through a bunch of subjects which later episodes focused on in more detail.

I though this was fantastic, and I was surprised to find myself close to tears when Neil was recounting his first meeting with Carl Sagan. It was all really we'll done, and I'm looking forward to the rest.

Watched this earlier. Really enjoyed it. Good tribute to Sagan.

Though I now find myself thinking that this sums up the whole series.
