National Gregg Wallace Day

3:20pm, BBC1: Eat Well For Less - Gregg Wallace helps the Atkinson family from Blackpool lower their food bill.
7pm, BBC2: Inside The Factory - Gregg Wallace visits a Sharwoods factory.
11:30pm, BBC1: Supermarket Shopping Secrets - The return of Gregg Wallace, as he visits supermarkets across the UK.

What with today being National Gregg Wallace Day I thought it would be nice if we could all share how much he means to us all, and aside from gathering around the TV, what everyone is up to today in celebration.

Imagine what twitter would look like if celebrities retweeted every "please RT my fundraiser for [enormous charity]" message (especially the ones who'll smash messages off to every single vaguely popular personality on there in the hope that someone takes notice). Can't really feel much sympathy for the bike rider, especially considering his reaction to a not-really-very-easy-to-read-the-emotion-of single word response :slol:

But yeah "shameful". Good grief.

I think it was an extremely twatty thing to do. If he didn't want to respond, he shouldn't have responded. If he did, he could have brought the spelling up as a joke whilst promoting the charity. Instead, he chose a dick response and was rightfully called out.

C'est la vie.

As though macmillan cancer research needs promoting by a chef on twitter :shifty:

If it were an obscure, well-intentioned local charity you could kind of understand getting a bit antsy, but I'm not sure a cancer charity that raised £250 million in 2017 really needs a retweet from Greg(g)

Yes, the cancer charity is the bad guy here.

It was a bloke doing a sponsored bike ride for cancer asking a celeb for a signal boost. The celeb instead criticised the guy's spelling whilst pointedly ignoring said request. It's not hard to see where the fault lies.

It’s really annoying that he typed Gregg? and not Greg? I hate this loudmouth bollock head.

He should become the face of Gregg’s. Just his gurning mug suspended from the signage, his mouth opening and closing like a roadside advertising board on an American interstate.

Just the one programme this year:

TV Guide wrote:You've Been Framed! Gold - Wed 19 Aug 6:00pm-6:30pm, ITV2: Harry Hill narrates viewers' videos featuring celebrity lookalikes. Holly Willoughby's husband risks everything to catch a glimpse of her in the nude, while Gregg Wallace tries to outsmart his ex-wife to retrieve his CD collection.

I really can't stand this bloke and his load of bollocks Masterchef bullshit. We do not need this sort of crap shitting up an already poor TV schedule.

I'm still in two minds about his response to that charity fundraiser guy. Yeah he was a dick with how he replied but if you're asking something of someone maybe spell their name right? His 'extra' g isn't him flaunting his celebrity status.

Why am I thinking about this seven years later? :fp:
