I haven't watched either of the more recent Ghostbusters and won't be watching this latest release, I just have zero interest in them despite being a massive fan of the original 2 films.

House Of The Dragon’s Milly Alcock is the new Supergirl
The new Woman Of Steel might appear in James Gunn's Superman: Legacy before her first solo adventure

Anyone who has seen House of the Dragon knows that Milly Alcock is a star in the making, but I'm not sure the general audience appetite exists for DC to start all over again.

This is an adaptation of Tom King's Woman of Tomorrow book which is fantastic. I highly recommend it, it's True Grit in space.

That is a VERY Sonic Adventure 2 looking logo. Makes sense with Shadow joining in I guess.

They've kind of contradicted how the attack was described in the first film with the sequel/prequel haven't they?

There were newspaper clippings and stories in the first suggesting it built slowly over time whereas now it's a full on assault from the get go.

On the big Disney call they've announced that the upcoming Moana Disney+ show is being adapted into a full cinema release instead (shows how much confidence they've got in their own streaming service..):

After receiving an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, Moana must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she’s ever faced. Directed by Dave Derrick Jr. with music by Grammy® winners Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear, Grammy nominee Opetaia Foa’i, and three-time Grammy winner Mark Mancina, “Moana 2” opens in theaters on Nov. 27, 2024.

No music from Lin-Manuel Miranda, too! Has his bubble finally burst?

Wonder how long they spent thinking of that title.

Probably more because it was meant to be a TV series on Disney+ and they've only bumped it to box office because they're clearly desperate for some hits....

I don't think it's due to a lack of faith in their streaming service I think it's actually about boosting their box office take as they've been in a major slump since COVID, particularly on the animation side of things and they likely think this could be a quick win.

However I really hope they are able to put this into a coherent film otherwise this could backfire on them. I wonder how far along in the process they actually were when they changed their mind to release this as a film.

The Director of Prey has been confirmed as the director of the next Predator movie, called Badlands. No news if it's a direct sequel to Prey.

New Alien film out this year called Alien Romulus.

No, the Xenomorph goes to Romulus, but it turns out it was all an elaborate ploy to incite war with the Federation.
