Godzilla Minus One which is critically acclaimed, breaking records and is adored by audiences... Cost under £15 million. Heavy CGI use and practical effects work too.

That budget for She-Hulk is crazy in comparison to those movie budgets. It is a shame we won't get another season though, I really hope she's brought into the movies at least.

Finished Echo and to sum it up, I really liked it. It had its problems, most notably that you can see how it was chopped up by execs because parts of it just clash and some bits are there for no story reason at all. Episode 1 is particularly bad for this. But on the whole I'm glad they made it. It pushes representation forward in so many positive ways and the actors in the show are really, really good (Maya in particular). But they're let down a little by the show trying to do too much. I was pleasantly surprised by the end.

(Quietly avoid discussion about the working conditions for the VFX team on Minus One)

Minus One was brilliant but I've heard the $15mil figure has some heavy caveats.

Yeah I finished this last night and really enjoyed it. A very solid show with a lot to recommend it.

Quite hyped to see where they go next with Echo as well as Kingpin and Daredevil. Going to do a Netflix era Daredevil rewatch I think, get prepped for the new gooseberry fool :datass:

I really enjoyed Echo. Can't wait for the story to continue in Daredevil.

Looks like we might be getting Mayor Fisk again but this time as the mayor of all of new york!

I need to write down a physical list of things to watch because when I have free time and go to a streaming service I'm paralysed by choice.

The Exeter pound (£E) was a form of local complementary currency, or community currency launched in Exeter, UK on 1 September 2015.[1] Its objective was to ensure more money was spent with local and independent businesses. It was one of the many alternatives in the UK to the official sterling currency. It was discontinued on 30 September 2018.

I liked She Hulk. Not surprised at the budget considering how heavy the CGI is.

Watched The Marvels, and I enjoyed it.

Echo was great. Loved Kingpin in it. I do hope we see Spiderman fighting Fisk along with Daredevil.

I thought Echo was OK. Some good action set pieces, D'onofrio was good, And it did hit some spots at times. But overall i dont think it was that great. 5/10.
The back story wasnt explained that well. Echo herself seemed to act like a bit of a bitch to those that knew her from when she was a little girl, And those people bent over backwards to help her, even thought she brought loads of trouble to them. I also googled what Echos "powers" were, and it said that once she saw something she could accurately recreat it (gymnastics, fighting moves etc)- This wasnt shown at all. But her power was explained as an echo of her past native american ancestors powers combined. So was that bit re written?
