Good episode, but always takes me a few episodes to warm up to Mad Men every season. It's a change of pace after watching GoT.

Think Rodger's on his way to the grave and was kind of suprised/amused at the way the writer's had filled in the last few years of life.

I'm a little rusty on Don's situation, I thought he was told to take leave? He's still on the sidelines and helping Frank? Not really following that at the moment.

He was suspended from SC&P (with pay) indefinitely, but has continued to work via Freddy, whose working for the firm as a freelancer but is pitching Don's ideas

Gotcha, thanks. Freddy said something about, Don having to stop soon, at the end. Wasn't sure if he's then going to be 'et go'.

I reckon if Don does go back to SC&P (and given its the final season I imagine he will for one last time) I don't think he'll be there very long

Good return. Maybe a bit too many changes considering it's only been 2 months since the last episode although some of that can be explained by the new boss. Maybe the closest they've come to nudity. Just wonderful to be back in the world of Don, Peggy & co. I wasn't too bothered by the split season but knowing there's only 6 more episodes until it's off for a year has made me a bit sad.

Laughed out at loud when Pete first appeared. Another hearty chuckle when Ken tossed back the earring. Superb stuff, so much going on. The estate agent looking like Betty's double is obviously no coincidence and Neve Campbell's cameo was especially good.

Lovely final scene and a pretty good episode. Like that Dawn is getting more screen time and that she and Joan have promotions. Peggy's sub-plot was terrible and clearly shoe-horned in. The Sally/Don stuff was excellent.

Great first ep, this show just never seems to run out of steam, mainly because they're never afraid to make changes, as all the best series' do. Ever since the end of season 1 it's just got better and better, and I don't think I can say that about anything else.

Caught up this morning with the first 3 episodes. As is usual for me with a new season of this, I wasn't overly fond of the premiere but the next two I thought were much better, especially episode 2.

Episode 3. I was really surprised to see how frosty Peggy and Joan were when Don went into the office considering everything he's done for them. But good to Sterling fighting his corner and showing some loyalty. But for the life of me I can't believe Draper would be so desperate as to risk his shares which he worked so hard for, just to get back in the office.

I don't think money means that much to Don in comparison to working on something he feels he is good at, so the shares probably wouldn't factor in to his decision.

As for Joan and Peggy being frosty, didn't he spread a load of gooseberry fool about Peggy and the guy who has moved to LA? That's probably why it was uncomfortable between them.

This strawberry floating show man, why is it ending? Literally gets better by the episode.

Roger. Betty was actually very good as well, I usually think she's a terrible actress.

Only 3 episodes left until next Summer :fp: strawberry floating AMC.

This stretch of episodes may be my favourite early section of any Mad Men season, they've all been fantastic.

It's ridiculous. It's just started and it's over already. Even worse for me because I watched the first 3 episodes in one go last week.

Yeah. Don't know what to make of the threesome as they all seemed so flippant about it but kinda funny to watch. Also Ginsberg out of nowhere suddenly has mental health issues?

The latter has been hinted at his living situation, his lack of personal life, last season he said something along the lines of "I think I'm the only sane one here"

Such a brilliant episode. I hate AMC for this shitty split season wankery they keep doing.

One of the most joyful episodes that's come along in years. There was something very screwy and whimsical about it all - no coincidence to see pot play a part in a few key scenes. The theme was obviously 'mind control' and it was interesting to see that take a literal form through Ginsberg, with the authority figures being put on the back foot. Megan's clawing in the sand and we're starting to see her completely unravel like Betty before her.

And all that levity means is that it's all about to go to hell in a handcart. I really don't want this to end.
