I was about to say when this happened and the plumber couldn't be arsed, we went out for 1 day and came back, the house was flooded.

I hope Carlos is still above sea level.

The seal might be gone where the 3" joins the main stack.
Is there water running down the pipe from upstairs or is the water just in the basement?
