Run and gun is suicide and you need to stick in groups.

You can go it alone if you're stealthy and camp a lot.

But otherwise no. You can run and gun against a single person but if you're outnumbered you're usually completely strawberry floated.

I suggest just play support for the time being Jedi. Earns you a lot of points and helps out the better/higher level members of your team that can get kills more easily.

Yep, support characters are the way forward for new players as they give you a chance to learn the maps while not dying all the time and once you have some confidence you can then pick more aggressive loadouts.
I've come top on points in games where I've not killed or downed anyone and just used crafting, revives and healing.

I found it was really simple to play online as I always kept myself behind my crews and support them whichever I could. It was also useful to create some Molotovs, nail bombs and smokes so one or two of our crews could fire at them while I could fix them on the first aid. 8-)

I've always put the nail bomb inside the toolbox so they wouldn't know what will be inside the box until when they first opened it unless if they did use the listen mode to spot it. I didn't fail on my clan on Hunters or Firefly category. I just breezed through with no problem at all.

Different teams have different toolbox locations.

Aside from The Walking Dead, I felt the same. Very rarely care about videogame characters as they don't seem real, but this game nails their emotions. Big respect for the voice actors as that can make or break a character. Ashley Johnson and Troy Baker were amazing as the character voices. Still can't believe Nolan North plays who he does in this game... unrecognisable.

I know, that's what I mean, never would have guessed it. Only found this out because I watched the Grounded making of documentary, which is ace by the way.

Thank for reminding me...

My guess is that it has spoilers, so you may not watch to watch if you haven't finished the game.

Last I heard there were two ND games coming to the ps4 next year but that was a while ago. The big one will be holiday next year. Originally the plan was to keep it quiet until atleast the VGAs but since Microsoft is already talking about halo which is clearly holiday '14 i could see them announcing it now... but i don't know that for certain.

The other announcement will cannibalize sales so i dont expect that to be mentioned either.

I would totally double dip for this. A game of the generation version on PS4 in 1080p, 60FPS with all the bugs and performances issues fixed (and the DLC) would be a must buy.

I wouldn't buy full price. But if it was say £20-25 I would.

This was one of the rare few games where I bothered with the incidental conversations as they were genuinely interesting.
I restarted and completed the single player in the last few days and I think this has an excellent chance of being my game of the generation. Even though I hated the navigation in the snow blindness level overall the mixture of stealth and moments of sheer terror were stunning.

An easy 10/10 for me :D .

Replaying this now. Once again i lost my lunch in the hotel basement.
Once again mainly due to the fact that i kicked over a wet floor sign and panicked!

Replaying the single player campaign & have just got Joel killed by a bloater :o

He gets smacked in the face with an eye hanging out, then
the bloater puts its hands into Joel mouth & rips his skull open.

What a way to go

Did think the bloaters were a bit over the top. I mean, they use spore grenades...really? :P

...though I'm probably just bitter that I got killed so many times by them :shifty:

I just had a frustrating time on multiplayer where it kept constantly spawning me miles away from item boxes or even more frustratingly next to open boxes so I couldn't get any items.

So...I don't get it.

I've got no idea why this won so much praise and had people frothing at the mouth. If anything it bored me - essentially Uncharted reskinned (zombie edition) with the same mechanics and irritating elements. Felt like my hand was being held the entire way through. I was told the story was "gripping and emotional" but it's laughable when compared to anything outside videogames.

It also made my PS3 scream whenever I played it. Which was fun. It looked lovely, really lovely in places but outside of the visuals it felt completely unremarkable - not sure if hype's played a part in it and people have just been swept along by someone's oft-repeated opinion but between this and Bioshock, there's two painfully average games trapped inside a pretty shell. Maybe ya'll thought it was brilliant - fair enough - but I found it predictable and monotonous.
