Hopefully the 'main' Naughty Dog team is making Jak 4.

Awful write up aside, this looks alright (though it's Naughty Dog so it will be amazing).
Glad Ellie only looks like Ellen Page. Didn't think she sounded anything like her.

And yeah, I Am Legend was my first thought too. Different sort of 'infected' but whatever. This has other humans to fight too, I suppose.

It's probably one of the best franchises of the past few years.
And what was so gooseberry fool about it?

The asteroid shooting bit.

The rest of it was pretty good though.

If there is a 'main' team then it's probably the ones who are making this game.

It's ludicrously cheap and frustrating, it thinks the combat is better than it is and is WAY overdone for a 'Survival Horror' if you even want to call it that, as it's more Action/Shooter than anything else. The level design is nothing compared to that of the first. The story is strawberry floating terrible and to be honest I'm not really clear on what it was.

It wasnt a bad game but no where near as good as the first

I thought the first was painfully repetitive and gave up about 11 chapters in.

Haven't bothered with the sequel.

First off. Stop thinking a game has to fit into a certain niche and just accept it for what it is. It's a scary action game. And this sentence
It's ludicrously cheap and frustrating, it thinks the combat is better than it is and is WAY overdone

What does that even mean. You didn't give examples or anything. The only part I found cheap was the stalkers.

Maybe give some examples or evidence to back up your opinions and I'll take them seriously.

I quoted it from the DS2 thread because I haven't played it for 6 months and can't think of examples off the top of my head you numpty.

I seem to remember there being a point where you have to run to the marker at the end of the game and you have to fight through a gooseberry fool tonne of enemies and it's literally the worst thing I've played all year.

Was kind of annoying. But it kind of goes against the fact you think it should be a survival horror game. That bit is meant to be scary, you just have to run, there is nothing you can do. I liked that about it. Although I agree it was a bit frustrating having an enemy you couldn't kill.

Ending more than made up for it though. Talk about epic =D

My initial guess is that this game wont need any sort of cover mechanic,so if Naughty Dog just rip off and fine tune the Dead Space shooting and port over the Uncharted fistycuffs(but make it a bit more involving) that'll be fine by me.

Rapidly-greying is Mediocre to Average at games :fp:
