The injunction came after the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge took action against France's Closer magazine for selling and distributing the images.

The photographs were taken while the duchess was sunbathing on a private holiday with her husband at the French chateau of the Queen's nephew, Lord Linley, in Provence, earlier this month.

The couple says the publication by the magazine breached their privacy.

The ruling came after prosecutors said they were considering whether there were grounds for criminal charges.

The decision to begin the preliminary criminal probe follows a formal complaint by the royals to prosecutors, with aides saying they were looking for proceedings against both the magazine and the photographer who took the pictures.

Applying for the injunction on Monday, Aurelien Hamelle, the lawyer representing Prince William and Catherine, said the scenes captured were intimate and personal and had no place on the front page of a magazine.

But a lawyer for Closer earlier claimed the royal couple's reaction was disproportionate.

The royal couple are on a Diamond Jubilee tour of South-east Asia and the South Pacific and are currently in the island nation of Tuvalu.

Kate Middleton is going to be a mom to twins — at least, according to Star magazine.



Just two weeks after Demi Lovato slammed the publication for it’s “Kate’s Pregnant” cover, the glossy gossip title again claimed the Duchess of Cambridge is expecting. On it’s Oct. 1 cover, a beaming Middleton is all smiles during a Diamond Jubilee appearance on Sept. 11 in Singapore, sipping water from a wine glass and gently gracing a seemingly bumped-up belly with her hand.

But Celebuzz has learned the photo is not quite what meets the eye.

When put side by side with the original, untouched image of Middleton, distinct differences materialize. Not only has is her floral slim-fit frock been mysteriously blown out — photoshopped in magazine parlance — but Prince William‘s wife is mysteriously missing her right-hand ring on Star‘s “It’s Twins!” cover.

There’s one glaring detail that gives away Star‘s photo doctoring: as compared to the real snap, a far smaller portion of the Duchess’ left forearm is visible on the magazine cover.

And the inside story seems no more genuine. According to a “family friend,” an “insider” and a “source,” Star claims the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expecting twins after a “passionate night” in Wales following the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

The report suggests the “double baby joy” comes as a “timely blessing for Kate,” who’s been wrapped up in scandal since three publications have printed semi-nude sunbathing snaps of the Duchess on vacation with her husband at secluded, private chateau in the south of France.

Star’s story follows its Sept. 17 issue that declared, “It’s Official! Kate’s Pregnant!,” based on Middleton’s alleged “expanded waistline.” Demi Lovato, who’s famously struggled with body issues, took aim at the tabloid, tweeting: “So apparently Kate Middleton (William?) is pregnant because of THIS picture… Are you KIDDING ME?!!”

The correct answer is allow for everyone.

Anyway on the legal point of few. Why are they trying to get closer to pull last weeks mag? Surely anyone who wants to buy it already has. I understand that they want damages which is fine. But why bother with the injunction. The pics are freely available all over the world.
