So alongside the Houthi in Yemen attacking shipping in the Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea, Iran have now seized a container ship that was "linked to Israel" in the Strait of Hormuz, entryway to the Persian Gulf.
https://theloadstar.com/iran-troops-sei ... or-bulker/Most major shipping lines took to diverting around the cape of good hope when the Red Sea became too dangerous, and I can't imagine there's much appetite for them to continue shipping in the Persian Gulf if any vessel that can be tangentially linked to Israel is now at risk there, too. I doubt Iran's neighbours with ports in the Gulf, including the UAE, will be too happy to lose the economic benefits of their export trade when that comes under threat.
