Game now runs at 60fps on PlayStation 5. Yes, Rockstar actually decided to do a bit more than the bare minimum for a change.

Someone reporting that the entire game is on the cart.

Probably not representative, but from those videos, these are the load times from main menu into the game.

Switch: 9 seconds
PS5: 27 seconds
PS4: 34 seconds

It really does feel like the switch version is the real one, and the ps versions are just brute forced ones.

Wtf

You can have your FMV-laden CD ROMs, your fancy-pants secret sauce SSD's, but nothing beats The Cartridge. A taste suprême.

Playing this on Switch at the moment, it’s good, bit dated and has a real lack of colour in the world  enjoying it though.

Similar to GTA, always read the rumours about ghosts and creepy stuff in this, any truth to it? Was wandering around Tumbleweed and the desolate abandoned town, walked in the church and see a message about the devil scrawled on the alter bit  that’s all I have come across though.

I don't think so. Much like with GTA, stories will be made to make the creepy stuff more involved than it is.

Almost done with this myself, at least with the main story. Want to be giving Undead Nightmare a playthrough, too, so that will follow.

Possibly a little.

I haven't played RDR but intended to after I finish RDR 2 (taken me like 3 years, non Switch games take me a ridiculous amount of time). Didn't come across anything like that in GTA5, but as far as RDR2 goes it's subtle. Like ghosts aren't canon per say, you could easily play for dozens of hours and not come across anything spooky, but there may be few weird things. In the same way in real life, you sometimes feel like there maybe something otherworldly going on, RDR2 was such a realised immersive world that some areas evoked similar feelings, now and then you nearly see folkloric figures watching you in the trees etc. Presume RDR is similar.

Related it has things like the famous man-bear-pig in RDR2 but I never found him.

Saying that, I wasn't expecting what can potentially happen to you early on in GTA V! aliens abduct you.

They do lean into certain aspects from previous games on that topic, like in San Andreas, there was meant to be a Sasquatch in the woods somewhere, in Undead Nightmare, there is a side quest about Sasquatch.

San Andreas had loads of rumours like that  but the Sasquatch one, I remember magazines printing screenshot proof it existed, good times

God, most of these missions in Mexico seem to be some form of escort mission :dread:

Yup. And most of them take you so far away from where the quest started, it's quite a trek back to begin the next. Unless you find the nearest fast travel point.

Undead Nightmare has been fun for me so far. Been getting overwhelmed a few times by hoards, but nothing that running the hell away didn't sort out.

Finally left Mexico and now doing missions in Blackwater, just been introduced to the Professor so missions for him have appeared on the map. How long have I got until I finish it from this point?

Still got a bit to be honest, there’s a few missions post the Blackwater arc of the game as well.

Finally wrapped up Undead Nightmare last night, which was a fun end to that story. Which means it is finally archived, freeing up quite a bit of space on my Switch. Both main game and Undead Nightmare were great fun. Maybe soon I'll return to the second game.

Where did you find dynamite in undead nightmare? Got fed up of looking for it to progress the main quest.

You can get it easy enough by helping the nearby town. El Matador or something like that.

Black water done, back home with John’s family now. Feels a bit weird as these missions feel like they should have been tutorial missions at the start? Like the hunting and such, seems the sort of missions you would find at the start of a game not the end
