Yeah, the Pad Pro 6 has a decent tech spec. It really is "okay"; to someone who has never used an iPad I'm sure they'd think it was pretty good. Thing is, for someone who is used to an iPad it feels like a good-but-not-great imitation.

That's exactly it, Johnny! Used the Android tablet it feels like the screen is never quite setup right; sometimes text input windows disappear behind the virtual keyboard and often the layout just isn't spot-on. The iPad screen layout and usage feels super slick in comparison.

But... Apple stuff is so expensive and, IMHO, in recent years they really are taking the mick. Even if I had the dough for a new iPad I'd be loathe to pay the asking price. It's hard to complain about the value offered by the Android tablet even though it isn't as slick.

Then really do, Robbo. Unfortunately, though, they clearly know this and are making the pricing a barrier now.

For me, the real pricing horror is that the 12.9" screen is only available with the Pro. I don't need the Pro's beefy processing power, but I do need the larger screen. Prices start at £1249. Hoping mine (2018) lasts and lasts, though they'll stop supporting it eventually.

I use ElekDirect (the AO.com outlet store) whenever I need to pick up new tech. They sell returned stock and everything I've bought from them previously has been next to brand new. If an item has any defects such as a blemish or scratch on the screen it will be mentioned on the listing.

Take this 9th gen iPad for instance.... £240. Still an absolute beast for 99% of a regular users tasks.

If I had known this company existed, and that they have a showroom when I was working in Bolton, I'd have been in trouble.

They have a no questions return policy as well. Great company to buy from in my experience.
