The only 2 things wrong with Halo 2 multiplayer was the energy sword not losing its energy and bxr-ing. Other than that it was just brilliant.

I prefer the gameplay of Halo 3 MP, but Halo 2 had better maps.

I hope this turns out to be the real deal. Even though technically it wouldn't be Microsoft's fault because they never said this was the real deal, but i kinda would be disappointed if it 'just' ends up being Halo 2 Anniversary and not the Chief Collection that's been rumoured. Halo 1's already had a make over, it sounds like Halo 2 has had its new lick of paint as well and of course Halo 4 was already a good looking game so if this Collection is real that just leaves the question of how much of a makeover will Halo 4 get?

I love this gameplay demo, still kinda gutted it didn't make the final game :lol:

I presume you mean what state Halo 3 will be in codename right?

Yep, I'm going to be disspointed if its not the Halo Collection but if its Halo 2 with MP intact and possibly that video stuff making it into final game (finally) then ill be happy, if I get the other 3 aswell ill be mental happy!

EDIT: having said that, having Halo1 and 2 anniversary editions Plus upscaled Halo 3 and 4 would be amazing. The most confusing thing of a Mastercheif Collection is how the MP would work!!?

Yeah I imagine Saber Interactive had their hands full just dealing with Halo 2 Anniversary. I can't see 343 wasting their time touching up Halo 3 when they're knee deep in Halo 5 at the moment so unless they got another dev to help i reckon you're right it'll be Halo 2 properly redone plus Halo 4 upscaled. Reading on Wiki work on Halo 1 Anniversary doesn't exactly sound the most simple as it is.

Well that depends, with Halo 1 Anniversary they brought the graphics up to gen-7 standard, to do the same this time they'd need to bring all 4 games up to gen-8 standard.

Halo CE Ann edition upscaled/ported to X1 would be amazing to be honest. Its a stunning game so I'd happily play through it YET AGAIN.

You'd want some improvement to justify buying it again though, right? If you're going to do another rerelease of Halo CE, at least to it with modern graphics.

I'm trying to think of what is most likely, Halo 2 Anniversary or Master Chief Collection.

For Halo 2 Anniversary
*Halo 1 has already had a HD update - doesn't need another one.
*It would take a while to convert one game let alone four.
*Business wise it makes sense to sell Halo 2 as a full price game then later do the same with Halo 3 & 4 & ODST.

For Master Chief Collection
*Collection is a value way to introduce newcomers to the Halo franchise and lock them into Halo 5, Xbox Live and the Xbone platform.
*Decision might have been actioned last May/June when Microsoft were most unpopular and MS needed to pull out their biggest guns.
*E3 2013 reveal trailer says "Your journey begins in 2014" and after Halo 5 reveal last month MS repeated the journey begins line (therefore begins pertains to Halo 1 or Halo 5: Prelude/Beta)
