Could be a place-holder price though!

99 Australian Dollars is about €60! It's Happening! :datass:

I was gonna ask actually how does 99 Australian Dollars compare to the standard retail price for games over there and what does it concert to into pounds?

Who cares. I'll pay the 99 dollars!

Happening!!

Why Halo 2's multiplayer has never been bettered

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2014- ... old-halo-2

Halo 2 emerged almost a full decade ago into a gaming world, it's worth remembering, very different from our own. I knew Halo 2's multiplayer was likely to be good because its LAN-only predecessor in Halo: Combat Evolved had inspired me and a group of my friends to learn the basics of network cabling and regularly rearrange our houses into wired battlegrounds. The promise of doing this online was huge - Halo 2 wasn't just the reason I bought my first Xbox Live subscription. It was the reason I got broadband. It dragged me and a generation of gamers through the rabbit hole and into the bittersweet connected wonderland beyond.

Agree entirely, to this day Halo 2 (alongside PES 5) is my most enjoyed multiplayer game.

Yep, spot on for me with halo 2. It was the reason I got started on live and console MP.

Previously I dabbled with MoH AA and CoD.

Halo 2 on live was epic, did to MP what the original halo did for single player FPS. It is such a shame that MS pushed me over to the PS4.

I was a big halo book reader, love the series. But a remastered collection on the one in principal isn't appealing. Maybe if I see it in action I'll change my mind?

I've played through all of the halo games recently, and they all hold up. I'd say CE and reach are the best, but not a bad one in the bunch, so I can't wait for this.

I think Halo 3 had better mp personally but loved both. When COD4 came everybody jumped from Halo3 and it has never recovered. Now with people getting tired of COD, Halo 2 mp may have a chance to shine again. I will say though that I disagree with the article slagging off jetpacks because TitanFall is glorious.

Isn't the HD remake bad for gamers on the whole? I loved Halo 1-3 and played Reach, ODST and 4 - but I'm not in a rush to rebuy the same game simply because they are prettier.

I know this has happened a lot, but with the recent trend to relrelease games with a spit-shine in the graphics department (Tomb Raider, Last of Us) this just irks of a cash grab, no?

A proper Halo 5, that contains old maps or builds on those beloved games just seems more interesting then the Star Wars Special Edition-ing of games I loved playing. If they decided to HD a PS1 game I could understand it, but a single generation before just seems cheap - or is that just me?

I hope it's just a remake of Halo 2 with multiplayer unchanged, I'd love to see Halo 2 MP take off again

Oh a cash grab no doubt.

But the chance to play online halo 2 which a lot of us have never done, plus restore versions of some of the best games I've ever played.

Like I said, take my money

I only got into LIVE with the 360, so the way everyone goes on about halo 2 makes me want to try it. Plus it's been so long since I've played halo 2/3 I don't care if it's a cash grab  :fp:

It was glorious, the small maps were so well designed, so much detail packed into small spaces and SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO addictive

Halo 4 was just COD.

I liked Reach most of all probably.

Halo 2 was good but 4v4 in this day and age might not be so good...

4v4 was what was so great about Halo 2, the map designs were perfect for it, everything felt so intimate, detailed and balanced.

I agree with what Glowy said about Halo 4, everyone got bored of it very quickly, it just wasn't Halo, felt more like COD with jetpacks :?

What was the Live username you used for Halo 2 Nick?

Halo 2 was probably without a doubt my most played online game and the very reason for getting a Live sub.

4v4 could work, especially if it's packed with halo 3 and it's Mp,something different for sure.
