Also that big mechanical bird that rises up out of the sand. Its more; Promethean artstyle, not Covenant = Massive Fail

Pretty sure it's a Forerunner War Sphinx.

Doesn't want to get sand clogging the joints, vents etc in his suit which would lead to overheating and probably eventually death.

It's a hyper advanced super suit it's a bit gooseberry fool if it gets defeated by some sand. Maybe the Covenant should just have thrown bagfuls of sand at him instead of all that pointless plasma.

Frankie just said on NeoGAF that "he is deliberately masking his appearance".

How would sand even get through the shields?

I don't like sand. It's coarse and irritating and it gets everywhere.

He's on his own in the middle of nowhere and iirc he's super tall and must be a fat bastard in his armour so even in a poncho he's pretty obvious. He's gooseberry fool at hiding so it's lucky he's passable with a gun.

I realise how stupid my comment was, I was merely trying to be logical in the face of such silliness. I guess in a world where children are plucked from their parents at a young age to fuel a government funded super soldier program to combat an army of religious fanatics there is no place for logic... my bad :fp:

Neither the trailer nor Microsoft mentioned 'Halo 5.' Maybe the high number scares of potential new customers?

while i wouldnt say this teaser had the impact of some of the other halo ones it still did interest me. the fact his helmet is all cracked and hes on his own could mean the UNSC have made him into an outcast?

My prediction:

Chief wants to find a way to save Cortana. The UNSC are like "lol stop being a whiny bitch, she's a computer. Go kill things for us." Chief is like "no sir". He then goes off to find a piece of Forerunner tech that can defrag Cortana's HDD and maybe get her running in safe mode.

Chief goes off across the galaxy on his own (or maybe with Lasky). Shoots things.

good prediction although you need to amend the last bit to "Shoots things with the power of the cloud!"
