I don't think that would be the case. As I said, why would those who only play Online care what people in story mode have? Online is their character, their progress. Their playground, even. Their stage. The place they can show off to others everything they've bought. Can't do that with story mode. And there's less of a connection for them because they wouldn't have the chance to show it off for others.

If there are examples of things losing their exclusivity from being shared between offline and online modes, I'd be interested to see 'em.

They literally want to have stuff other people can't, because they're pathetic adult babies. They'd have a shitfit if people could get the same cosmetics in single player that they paid for in the online.

I suppose I'm not seeing it from the extreme side of things, then.

I think the appeal of exclusive items in the single player mode is not too strong as well.

Is there anything that is really exclusive in Online though? Difficult to obtain perhaps, because to get some items you need an insane amount of in game currency, but once you have some businesses going its also relatively easy to make money in the game to get a car and customize it. So I also don't think that online players would be throwing any fits if an exclusive car is made available in the single player mode.

My only fear would be that these exclusive cars etc.. would be available in the single-player mode locked behind a microtransaction....

Yeah, the leaks revealed it was going to be modern day Vice City.
