Hey all. The Twitchcast is planned to go live tonight at 9 PM. It's a little on the impromptu side so I've not really looked at news. There'll be another person with me.

I was just wondering:

a) Would anyone else like to take part tonight?
b) Is there anything specific you'd like to talk about?
c) if you aren't taking part is there anything you would like to listen to us talk about?

Hey, everyone, the next GRcade Twitchcast is on Monday (01/02/21) at 9 pm. The chat should revolve around a few things:

If you want to ask a specific person something or a group question both are fine, just say who the question is directed at, be it 1 2 or all people involved. Hopefully, many questions will be asked for us to answer. IF you want the question to e a surprise for the group just PM me instead.

Could do with a banner or something along the lines of the streaming one for letting people know it's going on.

Here's a few questions for the Twitchcast crew!

1) With Microsoft planning to increase the cost of Xbox Live Gold and then going back on that decision due to poor consumer feedback, how do you feel about gaming subscriptions? Could the costs deter people from going "multi-format" as some have done in past console generations? Is there a risk that the manufacturers will start raising costs substantially? Or maybe they still offer good value?

2) Switch is proving to be a huge sales success. Is Nintendo's own gaming output supporting this in terms of quality? Or do you feel that there is room for improvement?

3) With gaming development being impacted by COVID, what bright spots to you see for the industry during this year? What games are you most looking forward to?

When's the next Nintendo Direct. Will the Switch get any big games this year? How do you like your steaks?

Pedz, your twitchcast seems to have the momentum of a runaway freight train. Why are you so popular?

What do you think of the EA buyout of Codemasters, and is better or worse than if Take Two had bought them?

Codemasters seem to have been making some weird decisions themselves recently, Project Cars 3 was so confusing and Dirt 5 seemed oddly rushed and/or slightly low budget.

Good stuff! Unfortunately I won't be around to listen in but I do have a few questions for the guys to consider:

I enjoyed our Twitchcast Mini OLED edition last night, I think we managed to keep the actual Sonic content to at most 50%!

And I only swore about 10 times!

It was a good chat, could happily have talked about those games for another hour. I put sonic mania plus on this morning because of the chat, and it's sooooo good. Perfect balance of nostalgia and new stuff.

Yeah I could easily chat about each of the classic Sonic games for hours on end!

As more time passes and I think back about Mania the more impressive the whole thing seems to be. They managed to capture and expand on the essence of what made those classic games so good and fed on the nostalgia for them to create something that feels like both a perfect continuation of the formula and celebration of that whole era.

I wasn't around to listen when this was broadcast but I'd be interested in checking a recording of it; sounds like you guys had a real good chat over the history of Sonic games.
