I still have so much shame about this to this day.

How Aaron even entertains the idea of speaking to me still after I abandoned him in a foreign country, I'll never know. Lots and lots of guilt over that even after all these years.

Aw man, it's sad to read you're still so hard on yourself about this after all this time! I can only reiterate how at the time I only felt sad that you were having a bad time and I had no hard feelings about you needing to head back!

If it helps I ended up meeting a hot Japanese girl that took me to disneyland and then took my virginity. Had a very nice time pottering about by myself and it helped me decide to do Japanese at uni and head back over there.

Please do try to take it easy on yourself. Can't change what happened, and what happened wasn't even bad anyway. X x x x

Lad. :datass:

More to the point though, where in Disneyland did she take it?

I need the full story on this trip now. What happened?

I went travelling with a mate, who had (unbeknownst to me) arranged to meet his new girlfriend a few weeks in to the trip and go travelling with her (this was a year in NZ we were supposed to be doing together). strawberry floater knew for months before we left and told me the week before she arrived while we were in Thailand.

What a dick move. He obviously knew he was in the wrong too as he kept it hidden. Did he abandon you to go off with the GF? Did you stay mates?

And the full story is Lewis just felt incredibly homesick/anxious and just needed to head back home early. That's it, didn't ruin my trip at all and I still had a lovely time, and look back on our first couple of days there very fondly

Hence why I wish Lew was a bit easier on himself about it.

Nothign to feel bad about there Lewis, I met a fair few people on my travels who were feeling the same.

And yes he abandoned me a week in to NZ and never looked back. I just went off and did my own thing, which was scary but also helped me do a lot of growing up. I met up with him a few times later on, but I wouldn't call him a proper friend any more because of that and told him as much.

Yeah I agree those are totally different. Lewis's sounds completely understandable. Your friend sounds like a strawberry floating banana split, that's awful behaviour.

This post is exempt from the No Context Thread.

I remember checking in to the forum to get the latest episode of Aaron and Lewis' adventures  the Go West theme! That distant shot of Aaron standing in the crowds outside their hotel! :msgreen:

More importantly, did the Japanese girl tittyfuck Aaron Ayling the Tittyfucker?

(I'm not imagining that there was some kind of song about that, am I?)

That was here. I remember someone doing forum stats at the time and it was something like 1% of UK internet traffic was to that thread.

I also fondly reading about Aaron and Lewis' trip to Japan and the videos they did. Aaron going to get a hug from a girl in a park. I spired my own trip there many years later.

Didn't he go long before it became 'a thing' to go there. That was an amazing thread. Nice post from Azza before to Lewis as well. All jokes aside - Lewis must have been in bad way to have to leave like he did. No way he should still feel bad about it.

Talking of forumite videos, does anyone remember the short lived T-Mag Adventures? Just had a search for them but looks like they're no longer on YouTube. Think he did one where he showed us how to make a bowl of cereal.

By utter random coincidence I ended up meeting the bloke who wrote and sang the tittyfucking song and the one about Emma Watson on a night out here. We became good mates and when we found out we both know Aaron it was strawberry floating surreal.

I reckon I could have shagged him if I’d wanted to.

There was a song, and it's been stuck in my head for strawberry floating YEARS! To the point that every time I see aayl1 post, the song plays in my head.

I'm kind of glad there's no (long) video records of my travels, as id probably cringe so hard I'd break my neck :dread:

It's cool you've got a record of it though, so in a way that would be nice to have.
