I believe the source of the rumours was some pretty random video off YouTube, which sites like VG24/7 & MCV ran with. Laughable really.

I thought it was just the fact they had not announced a firm date, other than "Fall 14" and we are pretty much at the start of that window now

So they are claiming to launch in under 3 months with no date confirmed which is odd

The improved version of Grand Theft Auto V for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will be out on November 18, according to the game's developer, Rockstar. The PC version will follow on January 27, 2015.

PC gamers get screwed.

As always, for no real reason other than "lol i dunno".
I dunno if they just dont want the PC version showing up looking better than the consoles, or they just want a new revenue stream incoming as the console sales trail off, either way its a shitty way to treat customers. Will buy off a CD key site so R* dont see a cent of my money

I think you answered your own question really man. :shifty:

Sweet!
Rockstar have confirmed it's being released on the 18th of November. What with all the upgrades this is meant to be something a whole lot more than an up-res. I'm glad I waited.

Rockstar Games is proud to announce that Grand Theft Auto V will arrive on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 18, 2014 with the PC version to follow January 27, 2015.

Grand Theft Auto V for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC will feature a range of major visual and technical upgrades to make Los Santos and Blaine County more immersive than ever. In addition to increased draw distances and higher resolution, players can expect a range of additions and improvements including:

- New weapons, vehicles and activities
- Additional wildlife
- Denser traffic
- New foliage system
- Enhanced damage and weather effects, and much more

Grand Theft Auto V for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC will also feature enhanced radio selections with over 100 additional new songs and new DJ mixes from returning DJs across the game’s 17 radio stations.

All players who pre-order the game will get $1,000,000 in-game bonus cash to spend across Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online (GTA$500K each for your Story Mode and for your GTA Online in-game bank accounts).

A host of new, exclusive content also awaits for players returning from the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions including rare versions of classic vehicles to collect from across the Grand Theft Auto series such as the Dukes, the Dodo Seaplane and a faster, more maneuverable Blimp; activities including wildlife photography and new shooting range challenges, new weapons and more.

Enhancements to Grand Theft Auto Online include an increased player count, with online play now for up to 30 players on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. All existing gameplay upgrades and Rockstar-created content released since the launch of Grand Theft Auto Online will also be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC with much more to come.

Will play through it again in full hd, but this time a bit slower and enjoy the sights. To be honest I didn't really do many of the side missions on the PS3, so will do on the PS4! All of a sudden, the next generation arrives this Fall (Autumn)

And the Christmases before that - sad, but true, as I will also be delving into The Last of Us Remastered, although I never played it on the PS3, so it's a whole new experience for me!

Honestly the HD re-release gooseberry fool is wearing a bit thin by now. Truth be told i couldnt really give much of a strawberry float about the PC delay. I just havent enjoyed a GTA game since GTA3, so im not particularly excited about this anyway. I couldve palyed it on the current gen but passed on it cause i just didnt want to sit through another "guess which movie we ripped this off from" game from R*

True, but who wouldn't want a remaster Skyrim or Dark Souls 1/2? I would pay full price for a proper 1080p/ solid 30fps remaster for those awesome games.

Dark Souls box set of both and Skyrim redone would be epic.

I've no problem with revisting classic games. Nothing wrong with playing Halo mp in 2014, in the 10years since Halo 2's online mp, on console bar COD 4 nothing else has bettered it.

Metro 2033 Redux is testament to the wonders of a next gen revamp. Hated the shonky original and love the post nuclear pants off the redux.

I didn't get this on the PS3 so may get it on the PS4, although I didn't really enjoy GTAIV so who knows.

I have to admit that I did enjoy GTA IV, I played it a lot on release then left it and went back when the DLC came out and was very impressed and played it through to completion bar the ballad of gay Tony.

GTA V is a different animal, its about 5 times the size of GTA IV for a start and just plays differently and is infinatley prettier even last gen. I walk about in these type of games, and I love all the side little things you can do so hunting and photography in the mountains sounds amazing. Count me in....at xmas... :shifty:

GTA:V is a whole lot better than GTA:IV fella.

Sure the story isn't great and the character switching is balls but it has a completely different tone, it's brighter, it's bigger and it's way better to play.
