Another fantastic episode. However, again, Dany and Nightwatch sections could be left out and it wouldn't matter..

From a simple Health & Safety point of view, that Moon door is a right no-no.

Well, the prevailing opinion (among its fans) seems to be that GoT is a classic TV series - which I also disagree with. It's got nothing on the Sopranos and other genuinely great shows where all the characters have room to develop, etc.

It's quite flawed, on the whole I think. With occasional strong segments + a wonderful turn by Dinklage.

But I definitely feel the episodes during the first half of S4 were rather sloppily put together. At least the last one actually flowed quite well.

This is the reason I don't really post much in this thread - I can tell on this forum at least, the GoT thread is generally a thread for fans of the show. Other places I frequent it's a bit more half&half than here and I can get into discussing the shows weaknesses a bit more.

But I run the risk of coming across a bit of a tit trying to do that here, so I won't go on about it too much.

I think there are criticisms of the show to be made, but I sincerely disagree that poor characterisation is one of them. It's up there with the best I've ever seen.

I agree. It was actually quite painful. I've never rated the girl who plays Sansa as a particularly good actor - last night's episode just kinda proved the point. The kid? Well, isn't his job to be an annoying little git? Personally, I'd have kicked him through the Moon Door, too.
