Just catching up on the most recent two episodes. Possibly the best line of the season from Farnsworth in episode 20:

Catching up on these;
19 was an unfunny mess, what happened?
20 was bloody brilliant
21 was absolutely mental, but very funny.

Overall I think this season has been the best yet and there's still five more to go with another 26 episodes already commissioned. :wub:

I keep forgetting about this. I've not overly enjoyed this series though. It's had it's moments but I've been bored by a lot of parts too. I think I'm up to about episode 20.

Just watched 22 the other day, not the best but nowhere near as bad as the kids tv episode. The whole bone vampire concept was funny though, they should have done more with it.

This season's been pretty consistent, but I think the only standout so far has been The Late Philip J. Fry. I was watching the last disc of the season 4 boxset the other day and those 4 episodes really are fantastic. How many episodes are left this season?

Been watching it on sky. Absolutely brilliant so far!

Theres a different feel about it, making more use of several characters, with odd partnerships like bender and Hermes for main stories, less reliance on the main trio. Like the Simpsons.

Unless it was just me watching the previous four series too much but there seems much more inventive use of the futurama universe too.

So glad there are so many episodes to watch and many more in the pipeline. Much better than the extended straight to DVD episodes too, willing to admit there a bit rubbish now because this new season has been so solid.

One thing this latest episode made me notice, Fry will always have grown up in the 80s/90s, unlike the Simpsons, where they're constantly having to change when Homer/Marge were at high school to fit with their age now.

Really enjoyed that episode. Nice to see that the whole Fry and Leela thing seems to be resolved, although I think i'd have preferred it if they hadn't got together.

If The Simpsons had remained at the quality of seasons 2-8 and not become an incoherent mess i'm fully sure they wouldn't have messed with the times in the flashbacks. Tbh, apart from a few episodes in 9 and 10, I don't consider anything after season 8 to be proper Simpsons.

Another superb episode there.

Loved the ending to that.

Best episode in ages after a spell of 'meh' episodes.
