FOX tends to not air any scripted/important programming during the World Series.

Guess who's returning to Fringe... :D

KNEW IT

I thought he would come back, he's too good a character not to be missed in this new universe/timeline.

It gets even better with the returning guest star:

Episode descriptions for the rest of the year are up too:

FRINGE (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) – “Novation”
In the aftermath of Peter’s (Joshua Jackson) return, the situation escalates when the translucent shapeshifters return. As the threat intensifies, former Massive Dynamic scientist, Malcolm Truss (guest star Arye Gross), enters the fold, while Nina Sharp (Blair Brown) pays Walter (John Noble) a visit in the lab.

FRINGE (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) – “And Those We’ve Left Behind”
Real-life spouses Stephen Root and Romy Rosemount guest-star in an all-new FRINGE, which marks the first time the accomplished actors have ever acted together. The Fringe team must find the pattern between tragic time loop anomalies. As the investigation unfolds, Raymond (guest star Root), an electrical engineer, and his wife, Kate (guest star Rosemont), a professor of theoretical physics, enter the picture.

FRINGE (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) – “Wallflower”
When a man mysteriously dies by an invisible force, his body rapidly begins turning ghostly white. The Fringe team learns that this is not an isolated incident, and there’s evidence that links the predator to someone who passed away with an unknown genetic disorder. Meanwhile, Olivia (Anna Torv) suffers from migraines.

FRINGE (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) – “Back to Where You’ve Never Been” – Fall Finale
In the Fall Finale, Olivia and Lincoln (Seth Gabel) take drastic measures to deal with the looming threat from the translucent shapeshifters, while helping Peter find his way home. Something “over there” occurs that hasn’t happened since the universes were linked at the end of last season.

Love this theme. Wish I could find the piano version of it that's been played a few times.

Fringe has an excellent score.

Have you checked the two soundtrack albums released? The version might be on there.

Volume 2: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fringe-Season-2 ... 108&sr=8-1

That's a nice piece, but no, that isn't the one to which I am referring. It's the piano version of the track I posted (from 00:31 onwards).

Some people start watching shows part-way through series' and it's annoying.

Some hope for another season of Fringe from the TV insider at GAF:-

Interesting tidbit - Fringe's plan to end this year has been changed somewhat. It was the original plan before the premiere to end it after a 22-episode season, but Fox was impressed by the opening numbers (considering the budget) and it's everyone's favorite show creatively at the network. It needs to improve to around something like a 1.3-1.4 level consistently to have a shot.

How much do the ratings need to rise by then? I don't understand those numbers.

Meant to say, Fringe are filming an episode in a friend's house up in Whistler soon, I should really try get myself on the set for it.

It's the % of 18-49s watching Fringe. It opened with a 1.5 and was down to 1.2 for the last episode.

Ah ok cheers. It'll be interesting to see whether the week break has helped or just be a hindrance.

Stupid baseball might get delayed this week so the event could air on Thursday or/and Friday. If that's the case Fringe won't air for another week :(
