Anotonio Valencia has signed a 3 year contract at Man Utd. Van Gaal clearly doesn't see Utd being able to attract anyone better then.

 £58 Million. Spanish media are crazy.

The Valencia new deal for United is a strange one. Are they going to keep Young and Cleverly too?

Not that strange when it means they can get a higher transfer fee from him.

 Who'd take him for a higher fee?! Mental logic.

I'll give you some time to think it over and work it out since you're being a bit slow.

Shouldn't be too hard to sell Valencia on for small hit on the £16m they paid for him what with PL clubs being flush with cash.

The problem created by giving Nani a new contract last season highlights the flaw in that line of thinking. Giving Nani a new contract put off potential suitors and United were stuck paying a player the manager didn't want. I'm guessing Van Gaal has greenlit this contract though.

I'd rather keep Tony than Young or Nani. We can't get rid of everyone at once.

When Suarez signed his new contract, wasn't there a clause saying he could leave to a foreign club for £60m? It seems to match up with that. I wouldn't be surprised at all if it happened.

Neymar, Messi and Suarez as a front 3

I did this by severing my real arms and replacing them with super-human cyborg arms.

Dunno. Echo didn't report any clauses, So I'm inclined to believe that.

Really don't see him leaving this season, New wages kick in, CL football and a team that is built around him.

But yes a front three of;

Messi-------Neymar
------Suarez

Is bloody scary.

I'd rather we kept Valencia and got rid of Young. Valencia just looked absolutely shot of confidence under Moyes and has had very good spells during his time at Man Utd. Young has been out of his depth since day one barring the occasional game so I wouldn't be surprised if he was the one told to find another club. As someone has said above you can't get rid of everyone you just get rid of the worst offenders and hope one or two of the others raise their game again under new leadership.

This summer also probably represents his peak value if they were to sell though.

How the club planned to spend any fee from a Suarez transfer would obviously affect how I'd react to news of him going. On a purely hypothetical basis (so any discussion of fees isn't necessary) would you be happier for Liverpool to start next season with say Lovren, Suarez and Lallana or a trio of Varane, Barkley and Sanchez?

Suarez just scored 31 goals in the premiership. I'd rather keep him than bring in Sanchez.

@Bear - I'd rather the Suarez side of things.

I know I'm going to be called Biased, But there are 3 players who are untouchable in the world right now, Suarez is one of them in my eyes. Would only swap him for one of the other two.

The way you go on about him I assumed Barkley was one of the other two. ;)

I just hope it gets sorted out quickly.

The fact no one could recall when it was they last saw Nani play was probably as much of a hindrance. Valencia is a regular and so would be an easier sell.

It already is. He's going nowhere. New wages kicks in and CL football. He'll be staying for this season at the very least.

I was going to laugh at the thought of Varane and Sanchez playing for Liverpool but then remembered that we signed Özil so I suppose crazy things can happen.
