For the hunts, I used Google each time. Did them ad they appeared and always just fast traveled close by then did the hunt. It's not really worth the bother trying to find them yourself as it's a time killer and not fun to wander around looking for what can be a small enemy on a big map.

This is a bit of a slog. I'm on 'Act 2' and was stunned to find that when I looked at a walkthrough to see how many main quests were left, I'd completed only around 27 of 46. Pacing feels off, combat is repetitive and the storyline seems to have walked back some of the 'shocking' events of the first couple of hours. Hmm.

Have been busy the last couple of weeks so had taken a bit of a break on this but finally completed it last night. It's not without it's flaws but overall I enjoyed it and would say for me it's the best FF since 10.

Not sure I'm really feeling this. I'm at the bit where you
. How far through the story am I?
Can't really be arsed with the side quests, they've all been fetch this and that bollocks thus far.
I feel like I'm missing something with the combat, probably need to unlock some more moves and actually use them.

Combat is Devil May Cry - light. It's fine but by the end gets dull. Side quests will help unlock more powerful upgrade for weapons. But not really needed.

That's still in the first half of the game, I'd say maybe
25-30%.
If you don't want to do all the sidequests, I would recommend completing the ones which have a plus sign, as these give some form of benefit (e.g.
increased capacity for potions)

Thanks, that's useful.

Just gotten to the point of no return so near the end and I’ve got to say, this is pushing XII hard as my favourite game in the series.
The story is the best in the series for sure, it’s derivative sure, but it pulls it off well. The cast have been incredible. The combat in boss fights has been an absolute joy!

I must be one of the only ones that doesn't like the big cinematic fights when playing as
Ifrit. I like all the Clive combat but the other seems so much slower and button mashing with a side of quick time!
I just past the dessert
Feels like I am playing Bayonetta at times rather than Final Fantasy.

Struggling to go back to this, just not feeling it.I've reached the part where I've just got back to the new base, on the water. How much longer have I got?

Well there's 7 Eikin power ups. So that's a decent way of guagijg your progress.
But from my memory probably about halfway?

I am the same, I find in between Eikon's there is a lot of boring busy work going here and there and that's where I lose interest. The Eikon fights for me aren't as good as normal combat, I find the cinematic too long and I rather be playing the game rather than it broken by cutscenes all the time.
I am enjoying the hunts which I have cleared all but one dragon at the moment. I have two Eikons left to get.

Uninstalled. Now installing Cyberpunk, for the first time, which I bought on release.

Finally Completed this. Didn't finish everything just the hunts and main side quests. Was okay but for me it wasn't up there with other FF games. 7/10
