i would like to make a list of pros and cons from the last episode if i may

Pros:
nph was incredible as the toymaker. an old companion returned, always fun. kate is still a bad ass. stuff in the toymakers realms was properly creepy. was overall very fun for most of it. sabolm glitz is dead.

Cons:
bi-generation. tenant being put on a pedestal. Rory and nardole getting ignored. the climax of the 60th anniversary specials was a game of catch. the master turned into a gold tooth. the guardians of time turned into vodoo dolls. the rather lame attempt to big up a future villain by making him be the one thing the toymaker is scared of who killed all the other villains off screen. rtd repeating himself while pretending he's being new. poor ncuti feeling like he's on the same level as the meta crisis

I actually thought it made Ncuti look pretty good, the way he took hold of Tennants Doctor and calmed and comforted him and told him he needed to take time to heal, I came off it really liking what we saw of him

that was a very well done moment. but it creates another set of questions. Donna implied that he returned to being 10 cause he knows he needs to stop which means it’s the doctor in general who needs to stop not just this specific one. but then the new guy is just fine?

I kind of took it as when the doctor split a lot of the negativity self pity hurt kind of stayed on the14th dr side, freeing 15 to go ahead less burdened.... I guess what made me think of this is based on what Happened to Missy in one of the audio's which explains why the Master goes back to being a dick

I didn't want to go into too much depth in case you were not aware of it and what happened in it..... I could be a million miles off but its just how I interpreted it... I have seen all kinds of interpretations.

I also think its just a great phrase for the Doctors Character seeing as he often uses brains to beat brawn.

General thoughts on all three specials. They were fine I guess. I suppose I was hoping for more. Star Best was the weakest, Wild Blue Yonder was my favourite and The Giggle was anti-climatic. It was interesting having Tennant back even if it felt like it was a fan service by RTD for RTD. I can't fault the casting of Ncuti Gatwa as the Doctor, he seems likeable and embraces the character. But then I loved Jodie as the Doctor and the writing for her tenure as the Doctor really let her down so I'm hoping it won't be the same this time around. I really do wish Jodie had been given a better run as the character.

I wasn't a fan of the
bi-regeneration. It felt like a cheap way to give Tennants Doctor (clearly RTD's favourite Doctor) a happy ending. It also feels (to my cynical mind) like its a way to produce more Tennant episodes, I'm hoping that if that's so it's not to the detriment of Gatwa I didn't like Rose being trans because of time travel shenanigans. Why couldn't she just be trans? Some of the scripting was weird too (looking at Donna and the multi-coloured Doctors comments). A game of catch at the end just felt odd

Overall they were reasonably entertaining but I'm not confident about the new series. I'm hoping it's good and I'm sure Ncuti Gatwa will be great with whatever he's given. I just hope it doesn't end up as disappointing as Jodie's run (through no fault of her own).

Please do not post this in the "No Context" thread

It definitely is. The whole whoniverse thing at the start of the episodes means they are planning exactly that.

Question to regeneration.

When Tennant dies next will he become Ncuti or will they now both have different regenerations into people from now on?

RTD will make sure that ALL regenerations will end up with two Tennant's.

In 30 years time, there will be billions of them.

I think at the moment its kind of open to interpretation I have seen people arguing all sorts of stuff. I took it that they would both regenerate and it had split the Doctor in two, with one holding on to more of the quilt and angst and stuff, which I came at due to Big Finish stuff I had listened to... I think it will be up to RTD or his successors what it needs to have meant to make future stories work.... everything is subject to change and means whatever it needs to mean to make tomorrow's story or the story in 5 years work the way they want it to work, Doctor Who has always kind of played fast and loose with cannon.

That nonsense will only be worth it if we get a "The Doctor and The Toymaker" series.
