Depends on the show - a show with a killer theme tune that doesn't outstay its welcome is always going to get a watch

It's important to be polite when watching TV, that's why I always pause the credits and thank everyone named personally.

Oh no, I go the other way there. I don't want to know what wankhand was responsible for Mr Cranston's pedicures.

Always skip after seeing it once.

Especially with anime (aside from Cowboy Bebop as the opening theme a banger) as there's nearly always spoilers.

Depends what it is. Ones I didn't skip:
Mad Men
American Horror Story - intro was better than the actual show sometimes!
Quantum Leap
Cheers
Life on Mars

Watching Justified at the moment and tend to skip that one.

It depends how good the intro is? Game of Thrones was never skipped, nor are some episodes Pokemon (series dependant) but some are just meh and if you're binge watching a few episodes you can save a few minutes by skipping them.

I don't understand why you'd sit and watch an intro if it's boring and you have the option to skip, what am I missing?

If I enjoy the intro then no. Otherwise yes. Pretty simple.

The full length intro is ridiculously long tho, especially when the couch gag is something ludicrous like the circus intro.

Back in the day there was simply no pleasure like it fading straight from the title into Homer pulling into the driveway. No fussin'

Depends on the show and how long the intro is.

PLAY | Persona 3 Reloaded [3h]
WATCH | HiJack S1, Red Dwarf S7, Dexter S2
RACE | Chew Valley 10k (June), GNR (Sept), Cardiff Half (Oct)

Depends on how long and how good the intro is.

Some are very short, so I don't mind or have much choice but to sit through them; Bob's Burgers, Rebels, etc.

Some are good, but too long, and I always get bored or impatient; Black Sails, Daredevil, etc. Those are skips.

And then there's the longer ones that are so good I need to see them as part of the experience; BSG, Only Murders, Good Omens, and the like.
