My mum worked security at the local college. She'd drop me off to school, pick up mine, my sisters and a couple from our mates and take them to work. Wore them on her belt like. We'd walk back to the college after school and pick them up from the nice lady at reception. :wub:

Mine died after a month. I was about 8 and we were in town when it bleeped and went to heaven. I cried like a bitch and we ended up going home. :lol:

I remember the first mobiles in schools. I remember a few months before I went to a secondary school, someone came in with a camera phone :shock:

I remember when commercial TV was introduced in the Netherlands, somewhere in the 1980s.

There were two commercial channels at the time, both British. One was Sky Channel, the other Music Box.

Just like MTV in the era where they played music videos 24/7, Music Box played music videos 24/7.

It were the days of the Cocteau Twins, Billy Idol and King. That's where my heart yearns for now. Love and pride.

Sigh, those were the days.
